New Around Here
Hello everyone,

I have Asus ZenWIFI XT8 AX6600 (2 units) currently connected via Wireless Backhaul.

I would like to connect them via Wired Backhaul and have 2 questions:

1. Can I connected the main XT8 (which is connected to the modem) to an Unmanaged Switch and connected the 2nd node to the switch (not directly to the main unit) ?
2. Does the XT8 support all the Unmanaged Switch brands (Netgear, TP-LINK etc) or are there any limitations ?

Thanks for your time

If you are using the main XT8 in AP mode, you can use any 2.5 Gbps unmanaged/managed switch to interconnect all your XT8 nodes (even the main XT8 can use its 2.5 Gbps port in AP mode).
I connect my AiMesh network in this way.
Otherwise, if your main XT8 is in router mode, you can use any 1 Gbps unmanaged/managed switch, in this case no need for a 2.5 Gbps switch for the wired backhaul.
