Your only hope with tp link seems to be openwrt and in a few cases tomato, but model support is spotty and mostly older stuff. Openwrt has a page with all the supported models you can see if it says work in progress, but I have one that has been WIP for years.

Better to pick a model that has known support rather than buy something and try to find open source for it typically.

OpenWrt won't provide anything for that model , it's Broadcom based.
