Also is it a simple case of going to admin and uploading image from there?

can it be done wirelessly?

You should not upgrade firmware using a wireless connection, you should always use a hard-wired connection to the router to do that. So, for example, if you only have a laptop that's wireless, you would connect an ethernet cable between the laptop and the router and use that for firmware upgrade.
