New Around Here
Hi folks,

Have a new router AC1200g+ and it keeps hanging when I try to copy files, via regular file copy. The speed is typically about 10MB/s, and it typically hangs after a couple of minutes.
This happens when I copy between a Win10 laptop and a WDTV, or a mobile device to the WDTV. I'm not quite sure what protocol it is, probably SMB (regular drag n drop).
This happens on any combi or LAN or WLAN.

However P2P is unaffected at any speed, where I've hit 40+MB/s with no issues. Until I copy a file elsewhere.

Has anyone encountered something similar for other Asus routers?

*note I'm not using the USB port of the router, just from device A to B on the network.

Instead of Samba (SMB) you could try if copying your files though FTP would be a solution.
As I am using Mac, which has crippled SMB, I use FTP 99% of the time to copy data.
