I've been slowly improving my network as we've gone to total streaming of media. Yeah #cordcutter
First the Asus Router went and replaced with the Eero Mesh system. Then the stock cable provided modem and replaced with Arris SB6190.
I'm now looking at replacing my Netgear 8-port switch, the GS108. It may be overkill, but I want things as good as reasonably possible without spending a fortune.
At the moment the GS116 is nearly half the price of the GS116E.
GS116E - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GG1AC7I/?tag=snbforums-20
GS116 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122139&cm_re=GS116-_-33-122-139-_-Product
There is the click mounting GSS116E at $20 less than the GS116E.

I want some room to grow and learn, but at the same time trying not to make things too complicated. I've never had a managed switch before so it could be a good or bad experience and look for further input.
For further info we keep around 25 devices on the network. Charter Cable with 60 down, 4 up using Eero wireless mesh. Thinking of using MoCA to get the TV's with 4K FireTV box off the wireless, but haven't done it yet. Otherwise mix of Netflix, Internet, Cloud Backup, PlayStation Vue, Amazon Video, etc.
