I used openvpn in several merlin routers with no problem , last one was rt-ac3100

Now I upgraded to rt-ac5300 and I am having troubles.

My Asus is behind my ISP modem, and UDP openvpn port is forwarded

I try to connect with my android phone, and I connect. I see my connected phone in the vpn status page of the Asus router

But I have no access to wan or lan

I attached phone log

And this is my openvpn configuration

What I am missing?

I can't read the screenshots, but does your compression setting match on both sides? If your client has compression disabled, you will connect but no traffic will pass.

Better to disable compression.

What I am missing?

- the router you upgraded to is also End-of-Life model
- after making changes to the VPN Server setup reboot the router
- make sure you connect to your VPN server from outside your LAN
- when you attach screenshots make sure the information is readable

THANKS!! Disabled compression, exported config and imported it back into my phone.

I got my router cheap, $80 and I need it mostly for onvif cameras and IoT devices that require static IP

Sorry for the screenshot, I used my phone thinking that it Will work.

After disabling compression ( advise from other post) it started to work
