I'm really confused about which powerline adapter to get- I've read various reviews, including the ranking here, about powerline adapters and they're all over the place.

One review will say this is the best powerline adapter, but then another review will say that same powerline adapter was the worst. For example, the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P was ranked very highly by small net builder. and it had highest the downlink throughput testing in small net builder tests. But, other reviews said it wasn't that fast.

If you look at amazon, amazon tends to put the reviews of various products into the same review. So a tp link av1200 or av500 review will also appear in the av2000. The av2000 from my experience achieves a very decent speed without the flaws of tp-links previous products.

Get one that uses Broadcomm chipset if you want to make sure there are no occasional dropouts..

I personally found this very stable..
