rt-ac66u 3 lights on no other lights or activity

Hello,

I have an RT-AC66U that has 3 lights solid on and no powerlight or any other light.

The lights that are on solid is
Lan 2
Lan 1
Internet

I tried holding reset before plugging in and that does not get into recovery mode. I cannot ping it or and no wifi. I tried using the power adapter from my other ac66u no change. I tried using all network ports and no active links from my computer.

I don't want to open it up I would rather try to get a replacement from asus but I was hoping for other suggestions.

looks like your AC66U is borked. Spare yourself a headache and just send it for replacement

maybee a long shot

do a hard reset(turn off router, hold wps button, turn on router and keep holding wps button for 30 seconds)

after that see if you can do an emergency recovery by using the asus firmware recovery tool

i think the file is called resque and can be downloaded from the asus site.
