Hello,
I have three RT-AC68U routers. One is the main router and the other was used as a Media Bridge, with a NAS USB drive (and one was just lying around). Once the latest software became available, I flashed all three and configured two of them as a AiMesh nodes. All seems to work well.
I realize there are some bugs in the latest FW and I am no longer able to configure Media Bridge functionality. But, I noticed that on the AiMesh Node (previously used as Media Bridge) I can still connect my media devices to the LAN ports and the bridging function works well. I am also able to keep a USB3 disk connected to the node and my media devices seem to be able to access the disk. But I can no longer access this disk on my LAN as Samba share (login is requested and I don't know what it is and Anonymous doesn't work). On the regular router, I can go into USB Application --> Network Place (Samba) Share and check off "Enable Share" and "Allow guest login". There seems to be no way to do this on the AiMesh Node.
Can you guys tell me if there is a way to access the USB drive connected to the AiMesh Node from the LAN (Samba Share)?
Thanks for any help on this!
