New Around Here
Never mind, it was the cable, found it torn loose in my crawl space and speared on a nail, with a snake skin draped across it. Apparently the snake in my crawl space had been dragging it around to help shed its skin.

Still don't understand why it only caused a problem with the router and worked just fine when plugged directly into the ONT.

I bought a new RT-AX88U a month or so ago, and I have been having issues with it dropping wired connections on the latest merlin version, RT-AX88U_PRO_3004_388.4_0, and possibly on the stock firmware as well, but I am not entirely certain on that. Usually after a connection comes back online, it drops several times over the next hour before stabilizing, often, but not always, at a lower speed.

The last time this happened, my connection was running fine at 2.5G for 10 or so minutes, than went down, and came back online at 1G, with the following error message, 2 of which (regarding 'Serdes') are a completely mystery to me, are at least partially broken, and sound hardware related, which has me worried. Does anyone have an idea what could be going on, or can help interpret these errors?

Code:

I'd be inclined to suspect the router LAN switch and related cabling and client adapters.
