I am seeing a strange device name when I look at the device list on my AC56U running Merlin 380.58. According to the devices IP address on the device list the correct name should be "supercomputer", the desktop I am using to write this post with. My "supercomputer" is showing as "minint-82rvtlv". This computer is running Ubuntu Mate 16.04 on one HD and Windows 10 on another HD. Is this name change a sign of infection?

If it bothers you what your device name is shown as, change it. You can do that.

It is showing the Windows 10 internal machine name in one screen and showing the personlized Mint name in the other (or personlized Windows name). No infection threat. All is normal.

My RT-AC3200 with 380.62 incorrectly identified a Sony cellphone on the LAN as an iPHONE (C4 3A BE ...)

That could be an error in the database called for the identification of devices.
