New Around Here
I am currently using Windows 7 Professional 64bit on the system that is having the connection issue. I was able to verify that my other 2 computers on the network were able to see and open the drive listed under the computer section in Network. These 2 other computers are Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 8.1. All 3 computers are directly wired to the network.
Here is a list of the things I have tried unsuccessfully so far:
- Disconnected/reconnected computer to the network workgroup
- Made sure Netbios over TCP/IP was enabled for the adapter.
- Disabled ESET antivirus protection (but also added the IP exception rule).
- Verified that network discovery was enabled and file sharing.
- Tried switching from 128bit encryption to the lower settings.
- I could see the drive listed on the full network map but it only takes me to the web interface when I clicked on it.
- Uninstalled/reinstalled the Seagate Dashboard software
- I pinged the drive and it replied successfully.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
