I'm trying to understand why my RT-AC56U has a weak 2.4 GHz wifi (lots of disconnections) and low transfer speed if I'm not very near to it.

Can you please post the result of these commands, even if you don't have an AC56U?
I think there is something wrong with my configuration

Code:
wl country
wl txpwr_target_max
wl chanspec_txpwr_max
wl txpwr1
wl pwr_percent

Thank you for your help

Also consider interference which can cause the issues you reported. Doesn't matter what power you run on your WiFi...if the airwaves are already saturated, your performance will be in the crapper.

Actually it's not saturated.
To do some tests I've also placed an old router next to my asus and the old one performs better
