Wifi Direct question??

So I know about this for while but never really messed with one place I read I can share wifi using wifi direct other place says I can not.

Which is it? Cause I wanted to connect my Bluray player to my Sony TV Via Wifi direct, Now while it bluray connects to the TV there is no internet access? so either its setup wrong? or I cant actual "Share" the wifi from the TV with bluray player?

Wi-Fi Direct is not about sharing internet access. It is about connecting devices directly to each other without going through an access point.

So whilst some devices might share their internet connection, in the case of a Sony TV it only allows you to "cast" video, music or pictures onto the TV.

boo I was afraid of that. I didnt want to be bother to add mac address to router to allow it access hah
