    ASUS RT-BE92U

Something is certainly off with the BE92U. I took my settings file from my BE92U and uploaded it to my BE96U. And instantly all my issues went away. Everything has been rock solid for almost two weeks now, with my two BE96U units. And MLO has been on for almost a week, and it is still solid...

Wifi 7 MLO seems buggy on BE96U

I've been running MLO on my two BE96U routers, since the past weekend. So far, everything has been rock solid. Unlike with the BE92U routers I had. Nothing has dropped off or rebooted since I enabled MLO. The only thing I did notice was in the log. And an entry will periodically show up that...

    Asuswrt-Merlin donation thread

I just made a second donation. The first one was for the RT-BE92U router, back in November. But, I have returned those BE92U routers. And the donation I just made was for the RT-BE96U router. I got two of those as replacements for the BE92U routers. Thanks!!

    RT-BE96U AFC?

The two BE96U routers I bought last week were still hardware version 1.0.

Reducing power consumption - possible to any extent?

When I had my RT-BE92U units hooked up last week (before I replaced them), they seemed to use less than 10 watts. Much less power than I expected.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

I setup one of the ExpertWiFi EGB15 routers last night. I wanted to separate out my cameras from my main network, that uses an RT-BE96U as the router. I have seventeen cameras in use with it, two wireless bridges, four PoE switches, one AP, and three PCs on its network. So far, it's been working...

    ASUS RT-BE92U

I ended up switching it to a mesh setup early this morning. And everything has been communicating like they should. Everything has been solid. No data missed from any device over the last 13 hours now. Which, with my BE92U units, was never the case.

    ASUS RT-BE92U

OK. I have one BE96U setup as a router and one setup as an AP(I will try the mesh setup later this weekend) Already it is a night and day difference from the BE92U routers I have. Right away, all my 2.4Ghz devices connected without any issues. It's been up for around two hours and everything...

    RT-BE96U AFC?

That page is where I got the info I posted. Under "Location Permissions".

    RT-BE96U AFC?

But, wouldn't the geo location info also give you that? The information is there from topographical maps. As long as you know your location, then the altitude would be known. At least within so many feet. Depending on the level it was on in a structure.

ASUS RT-BE92U price drop – Stability issues still a concern?

I have several PCs right now that are using WiFi7 adapters, instead of their 10GbE connections. I plan on reconnecting their 10GbE connections when I move them back to their permanent locations, sometime in the Winter. They were getting 1.5+Gbps speeds, over WiFi7, with the BE92U units when I...

ASUS RT-BE92U price drop – Stability issues still a concern?

I have four BE92U units I setup last week. I finally got it mostly stabilized. But by going old school and just having a router and three separate Access Points. Although even still 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi hasn't been completely stable. But, much, much, much better than when I had everything in a mesh...

    RT-BE96U AFC?

According to the Asus FAQ, it shows Which says it gets the router location from a device connected to wifi on the router. Which would imply the router doesn't need GPS for AFC. Since it would get the location information from a device connected to the router by WiFi.

    ASUS RT-BE92U

After using the Merlin firmware. I don't want to go back to an Asus router that doesn't have it. Otherwise, I might have gone with the ROG Strix GS-BE18000 instead of the RT-BE96U.

    ASUS RT-BE92U

Wow!! I just have no words for these BE92U routers. I figured they would at least be stable with one as a router and one to three individual APs. But, even in that setup I have issues with some 2.4Ghz devices. I have several devices, like a couple of Radon detectors, that report data every...
