Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.7 is now available

I did a dirty upgrade from the 102.7 beta to 102.7 final. On my BE96U router and node. And I ran into the same issue with my three Winix C610 Air Purifiers on 2.4 Ghz. The router shows they are connected but, the units just flash the wifi signal, indicating they are not connected. And the Winix...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.7 Beta is now available

Did a dirty upgrade on my two BE96U units. One is used as the router and one as a node. Upgraded from the 102.6 release to 102.7beta1. The only issue I ran into was with my three Winix C610 Air purifiers. Even though the BE96U showed that they were connected to WiFi, the air purifiers kept...

Wi-Fi Calling not working on ASUS Router

That is not how it seems to work on my Samsung Galaxy cell phones. If my phone is connected to WiFi, it will use wifi calling. No matter what the cellular signal strength is.

    Does Asuswrt support the EBG15

My EBG15 is working fine paired with an AX57 Go as a node. I use them on the camera side of my network. To use with my 17 IP cameras, two managed PoE switches, and two wireless bridges (used with two unmanaged PoE switches). The AX57 Go is setup as a node with the EBG15. And wifi info is setup...

Attempting to track Down a Persistent Broadcom Kernel Instability on Asus RT-BE92U in an AiMesh Setup

I am seeing the same error in my BE96U logs. It is in the log many, many times. But, it has not caused any issues. My setup was rock solid for weeks. With two BE96U UNITS. One as a router and one as a node. Previously, I was using BE92U units, which made everything unstable. After I transferred...

what is currently broken on asus BE routers?

No. It had nothing to do with the amount of devices. Even with only a dozen IoT devices connected, there were still major issues where they kept dropping off. From multiple BE92U units I tried. Heck, I could go back to my ancient Asus router (RT-N56U) from fifteen years ago, with many dozens of...

what is currently broken on asus BE routers?

I only had issues with the BE92U router. Once I copied the settings file to a BE96U, everything was rock solid with eight SSIDs and 70+ Wi-Fi devices. Even with MLO in use, it has been solid now for five weeks. While the BE92U units I had were nothing but a PITA, and nowhere near reliable...

    Error in BE98-Pro User Manual?

Why would it get messed up? In the late 90's I started using 221 as the first number in the Octet for my LAN, when I was using a PC for a DHCP server. Which was a Chinese IP address, so I figured it wouldn't cause any issues for me in the US. And it didn't. I used that Octet beginning with 221...

    Error in BE98-Pro User Manual?

Or use 10.x.x.x. I never use an octet beginning with 192 for my LAN IP addresses.

    ASUS RT-BE92U

Yes. I plan on doing everything again from scratch, but that will take me at least half an hour to input all of my DHCP reservations. Plus the time to reset both devices and setup my eight wifi networks. But, since it's working great with the uploaded BE92U settings, I have not been in a rush to...

    ASUS RT-BE92U

Something is certainly off with the BE92U. I took my settings file from my BE92U and uploaded it to my BE96U. And instantly all my issues went away. Everything has been rock solid for almost two weeks now, with my two BE96U units. And MLO has been on for almost a week, and it is still solid...

Wifi 7 MLO seems buggy on BE96U

I've been running MLO on my two BE96U routers, since the past weekend. So far, everything has been rock solid. Unlike with the BE92U routers I had. Nothing has dropped off or rebooted since I enabled MLO. The only thing I did notice was in the log. And an entry will periodically show up that...

    Asuswrt-Merlin donation thread

I just made a second donation. The first one was for the RT-BE92U router, back in November. But, I have returned those BE92U routers. And the donation I just made was for the RT-BE96U router. I got two of those as replacements for the BE92U routers. Thanks!!

    RT-BE96U AFC?

The two BE96U routers I bought last week were still hardware version 1.0.

Reducing power consumption - possible to any extent?

When I had my RT-BE92U units hooked up last week (before I replaced them), they seemed to use less than 10 watts. Much less power than I expected.
