Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.7 is now available

Hi guys i'm having an issue with my gt-axe16000, I've downloaded the 3006.102.7 firmware, extracted the zip and flashed the firmware, all goes through fine reboot the router but it's still on 3006.102.6 and notifies me of a firmware update. Can anyone help

TIA

Upgrade my RT-AX88U_PRO from Beta 1 with Nuclear Reset. Doesn't work option “Disable 11b” in Professional section of 2,4 GHz. This bug was reported by others users on Alpha.
Option can only be enabled via a terminal command
Code:
nvram set wl0_rateset=ofdm
after which it is correctly displayed in the web interface.

Try the usual troubleshooting steps:
  • Clear browser cache
  • Shutdown the router and physically remove power from the router, if router has a physical ON/OFF switch or button then with the power disconnected from the router turn that switch/button on for at least 30 second then turn it back off, wait a few minutes, then reconnect power to the router and power the router on
  • When manually flashing firmware make sure to have the computer connected directly to the router by Ethernet cable, do not use WiFi, do not go through any extenders or switches or similar
  • Prior to flashing the firmware disconnect any router attached USB device, only reattach the USB device after the firmware has been successfully flashed
  • Try a different web browser
  • Try a different computer
  • Temporarily disable any security software on the computer prior to manually flashing the router firmware
  • Temporarily disable any browser extensions or addons prior to manually flashing the router firmware
  • Avoid, if possible, manually flashing the firmware from a remote location using VPN or other remote access method(s)

BE88U - Dirty update and its working but i found 1 strange thing. When setting in my guest-network (via network pro) the setting "bandlimith" to ON (with a value, in my case 12 MB/s) my whole network is limited to ~350 mbps up and down (instead of 1000). I noticed setting the bandwithlimiter enables QoS also.

When i disable the bandwithlimiter in guest network pro my QoS stays enabled and i receive lower speeds (350 max), when i also disable the QoS im back to full speed again.
Is it only me or ? I found more post with the same "problem" , for now i disabled the bandwith limiter (dont really need it anyway).

And your work is highly appriciated Merlin, thanks :)

Smooth as silk on my 16000...

Suggest editing your Signature to include your setup equipment. Hard to get an effective answer without that info...

Bandwidth Limiter is NAT acceleration incompatible. All WAN-LAN traffic is processed by the CPU. On some models LAN-LAN traffic is affected too. One of "kill the performance" options on ASUS routers.

So far so good, flashed with MerlinAU, and learned a another new difference. I need some extra patience since moving from my AX88/86's, but working as designed and hoped for. Other than the known gotchas, it's been stable. Though I loset all the bindings I had setup, still my setup had most of the devices connecting through where they should so that's working as expected (and was). More than likely the loss of the bindings, coupled with the Nodes connecting back up (takes a bit) coupled with the router coming up and getting online, caused the devices to connect to what ever had the active Internet conection, which was the Router by a few minutes.

Just updated working just fine nothing to report.

Installed beta2 on RT-BE92U and have zero problems. All the ethernet ports work as expected.

All working on my BE88U; still running stock on the BE86U node though that continues to have issues with IoT clients falling off no matter what version in use.

I dirty flash my GT AXE 16000 from 6 to 7 as I have been fighting with controld ipv6 dropping after about 2 hours. I have my telus gateway in bridge mode to my router, plugged into the 10g port, I have tried literally every setting that there is possible , cronjobs and other things , nothing has worked. Everything working fine after dirty flash so far , but ipv6 still dropping after about 2 hours , after using notebooklm and giving it my syslogs it told me I should switch from the 10G port back to the 2.5 for this reason , Serdes 7 False Link Up with Error Symbol 0x4091 , I'll write again in about 2 hours if this fixed my ipv6 issue

its been some time , ipv6 show NA on the controld status page again , as always on my ipv6 routing log on webgui shows WAN IPv6 Gateway as blank , I have a WAN IPv6 Address still though. I'm at a complete loss as to what to do , or even how to see what exactly is going on to address the issue. I have ipv6 set to native and PD enabled..... I have spent hours and hours talking to controld AI "barry" and tried literally everything , DoT and DoH both have the same problem for me when I tried switching. Is there anyone else with controld that has this issue?

@RMerlin - I remember some time ago we discussed the merits of Stubby downloading the DNSSEC trust anchors vs. hard coding them in dnsmasq. Looks like you are on your toes and have the files updated well before they are needed. Well done!
Now, will Asus do the same?

Am giving this firmware a try on my AX86U Pro router. Asus firmware on the node.

I did a dirty upgrade from the 102.7 beta to 102.7 final. On my BE96U router and node. And I ran into the same issue with my three Winix C610 Air Purifiers on 2.4 Ghz. The router shows they are connected but, the units just flash the wifi signal, indicating they are not connected. And the Winix app has no access to them. Like before I needed to delete them from the app and add them again. And setup Wifi for each of them from scratch. After that they are connected again and have a solid wifi connection. No idea why this has happened with these three devices.

My other seventeen 2.4Ghz devices had no issues, like before. And my 50+ 5Ghz and 6Ghz devices also had no issues, like before.
