RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

Son of a ......................... Formatting my ssd and doing a clean install of Win8 allowed me to connect to the n66u. Unbelievable. It doesn't make any sense to me. Originally under Win8 I could connect to any router except for the n66u. Formatting and reloading ended up resolving...

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

It looks like Windows 8 is the problem. I came home and tried everything that was suggested and I still couldn't connect to the n66u. I then grabbed a spare SSD and loaded a clean install of Windows7. Keep in mind that none of the hardware changed at all (except for the ssd of course), I...

Just downloaded it, thank you very much. That will be the first thing I try when I get home tonight is to use this driver.

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

I am going to try this as well just to see what happens. I will be home in less than four hours from work so I will have a few things to try.

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

I actually gave this new router a different SSID and different password to connect with than my previous router. I do appreciate the input since you never know what might be the fix. I will try to remove the previous profile for the old router just in case.

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

I was just over on newegg and was looking at user reviews for the wireless nic that I am using. Apparantly there is a review from just a few weeks ago where a person is using the same nic and is trying to connect to the ac66r router and is having the same issue. Is it possible that this nic...

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

Thank you for the response, I am in the US. When I look at my router the Channel is set to "auto" (Adanced Settings, Wireless). Is this were I should be looking on the router? If so, should I change it on the router from Auto to a specific channel such as 1 or 2, etc? Below is a link to...

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

It is a USB adapter and I have tried it in other usb ports. I have tried several drivers versions for the wireless adapter, both Win7 and Win8 drivers. Its weird, the wireless adapter can connect to every other router that I have tried with no problems, except this new n66u. It can see the...

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

I already tried both of those things last night, didn't work. I do appreciate the response though. I think I am going to see if I can find another wireless network card lying around the house. Might also try a different/older version of Merlin. Something has to work eventually.

RT-N66W with Merlin not compatible with Win8?

I just bought the Asus N66W three days ago. Hooked it up two nights ago, put the latest Merlin version on it and only did basic configuring: set the SSID and password. Everything works great for the following devices: 3 Win7 computers 1 MacBook Air Laptop 2 ipads 2 Android tablets 2...
