Looks like my Raspberry Pi 3 is a bottle neck, I do have Pihole, Kodi and a few other things running on it and when I enable the Pihole DHCP server my CPU usage spikes to 88%-100% and some of my devices do not get IP addresses assigned to them. If there is no other way to assign a DNS server for...
I have a Netgear X4S router with Voxels v.1.0.2.70SF installed. I recently got AT&T gigabit fiber internet so I upgraded my home network. I will try my best to explain my setup : I have the AT&T internet plugged into my WAN port on my Netgear X4s with Voxels latest FW (Wifi is disabled on my...
I tftp'ed 1.0.2.46 stock FW and then updated to 1.0.2.62 from the GUI and it behaved just like your .64SF stable for the most part with occasional drop outs in wifi but nothing serious.
I then updated from stock 1.0.2.62 to .65SF and my problems started again I have no idea why my router does...
Thank you for your excellent work. I love your FW as it boosted my download through put and lowered my ping time. Sadly the .65SF breaks my 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Wifi, my devices can connect to the 2.4Ghz but the connection drops are very frequent like 15-20 times times in 5 mins I can see my windows...
A followup on my experiments, I updated from stock 1.2.46 to .65SF and got my 5Ghz wifi issues back. All my devices can see my 5Ghz ssid but cannot connect to it, my desktop PC with windows 10 just tells me the password I entered is wrong but I know its correct and all my other devices just...
Thank you Percy3 ! I did mtd erase netgear and flashed stock 10.2.46 via TFTP, then factory reset via GUI. Now everything is working flawlessly, my router is back to its original state before flashing voxel's FW. 5Ghz works with no issues and I have not reboot my router in 3 days and not once...
I was on Voxel 64SF and upgraded to .65SF. Voxel's .64SF worked well for me the problems started when I moved to .65 now no matter what FW my Wifi does not work properly.
To answer your questions:
My systems just detect a DirectTv, Xfinity and my wifi ssid other than this no other Wifi...
Going back to the stock FW V1.0.2.62 after mtd erase netgear screws up wifi completely, with stock I am not able to connect to my 2.4 or 5Ghz with smart connect enabled or disabled.
I might be doing something wrong here is the sequence of steps I perform when flashing stock or voxel FW:
+...
Correct, I moved to .65SF from .64SF. v.64SF was pretty stable for me with some occasional WIFI dropouts like 2-3 times a day but other than that everything was fine but now even .64SF is having a ton of problems.
After updating to R7800 v. 1.0.2.65SF I have completely lost connectivity to my 5Ghz network. The 5Ghz ssid is visible but my devices which were working fine before just cant connect to it anymore. On my windows system I keep getting a message that my password for the 5Ghz connection is not...
Playing with those options did nothing to make the disconnecting issue better, my router has been up for 6+ days and my wifi still disconnects like 2-3 times a day.
However here are some things I observed when playing with those options:
* Smart connect enabled : Through put fell by 8Mbps.
*...
I have the Intel 9260 Wifi cards in my laptop and desktop systems. I have disabled the smart connect feature, I dont remember seeing this option with the stock 1.1.46 FW. I had a slew of options enabled in the stock FW before I started having issues after updating to Voxel's FW like HT160...
@percy3 I cannot thank you enough "mtd erase netgear" + reinstalling voxels 64SF did resolve my issue to a large extent. My router has been up for 4 days and in this time I have lost my Wifi 5-10 times, again this is what I have noticed when using Wifi when I am home. This is so much better than...
No I like to have separate bands for my 2.4 and 5Ghz. Yeah all Wifi just drops, my Lan connection is rock solid though.
Some settings I did change are turned off HT160, turned off QoS and enabled MuMimo. I have about 13-15 connected on an average and when the drop outs occur they all lose...
