Thanks for that - I'll have a look into it and see.

Possible to disable DHCP on Netgear AC2200 EX7300 Extender?

Yeah, so I believe it creates a virtual MAC address which then gets assigned a new IP. That reports as static as if something other than the router is setting it. I have tried assigning that virtual MAC a different IP based on the router DHCP but it seemed to not get taken as if something else...

Possible to disable DHCP on Netgear AC2200 EX7300 Extender?

So I have a slightly odd set-up. I rent and it's not possible to trail an ethernet cable from my main router, ASUS RT series, so I have my Netgear extender (in Extender mode) set up to pick up my Wifi from the router then I have that hardwired to my PC. This works really well for me as it is a...

ASUS RT-AC66U B1 - Clear automatic Port Forwarding rules on devices no longer in network?

Ah you have just nailed it - that is exactly what is set up. I naively set it up ages ago without giving the devices static IPs. Thanks so much, I will clean those up!

ASUS RT-AC66U B1 - Clear automatic Port Forwarding rules on devices no longer in network?

Thanks Colin. I rebooted recently, but will give it another go. For now I will stick with the non-standard Home Assistant port as a work around, but hopefully can clear up those rogue rules.

ASUS RT-AC66U B1 - Clear automatic Port Forwarding rules on devices no longer in network?

There seem to be quite a few rules in my Port Forwarding log that I do not remember setting up. They look to have been created automatically, and I cannot track down the .159 and .250 devices at the moment. These rules are blocking a standard port for Home Assistant (8123), while I can change...

ASUS RT-AC66U B1 - Port forwarding not applying

Solved with a simple port conflict. These had been set up automatically and were causing 8123 to be blocked. I have changed the Home Assistant port to 9123 and it opens successfully.

ASUS RT-AC66U B1 - Port forwarding not applying

Thanks for responding. So I can access the Pi on 8123 locally, so I am sure that it is listening on that port. I think this is set by default as it is just running the Home Assistant OS. I'm attempting to follow a fairly standard process of using DuckDNS etc, but just seem to be stuck on the...

ASUS RT-AC66U B1 - Port forwarding not applying

It's a classic post, I know... Let me put down the basics: ASUS RT-AC66U B1 Router Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_48262 Router WAN IP is the same as external IP (ie not CGNAT) Attempting to port forward for Home Assistant on RaspPi, port 8123 Rule as follows Internal Port should mirror External Port...
