    So you're suggesting that I buy a powered usb caddy for my 2.5" sata SSD as it likely didn't have enough power for the 15 months it's been working ok? Or would you think a SanDisk extreme usb 3.0 may suffice like this...

    I had skynet and diversion on it, it's an Intel SSD with a very cheap caddy. I formatted it NTFS. The key is a Kingston datatraveller

    Hi, I've had 2 different usb drives just stop being recognised by my Rt-ac86u and can't work out why. I've tried both an SSD inside a usb caddy, and a usb stick. They were formatted by the router and they just disappear from the router homepage. Any ideas?

    I switched to an old 2.5" ssd I didn't need in a usb 3 caddy connected to the usb 3 port and its been golden since.

    Cheers the script to uninstall worked a treat. This drive must have died totally now as despite formatting it it keeps coming up as "unmounted". I'll buy a new one and reinstall my stuff.

    Also it now means that atmt thinks that skynet is installed therefore my menu options are "open" for skynet and not "install/uninstall" . What is the recommended action for me now please to reinstall skynet?
