Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

Mine does. I am using a fritzbox 5590 as a fiber modem that also handles telephony needs, then having a mesh of GT-BE98s to handle the local network

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

For a second PPPoE "call" you leave the DSL AC88U as is, making sure to enable (if it exists in settings) devices to make PPPoE calls. You will connect a LAN port of your DSL modem to the WAN port of the BE98 and set up the PPoE connection with your ISP username and password and any special...

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

Does your ISP allow a second PPPoE connection to be established? If so, this will be a solution for you by setting the BE98 to establish a connection using PPPoE

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

No, I left things at default for now as messing with something that isn't properly working atm would probably bring more issues. What was weird though was, that upon enabling ethernet backhaul mode, I was asked to verify the wireless SSIDs and passwords, The only ones that showed were the 2.4Ghz...

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

No clients can connect on the 5Ghz Radios of my node BE98. I guess its an issue with Aimesh on this firmware version... 2.4 and 6Ghz have no issues.

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

Do you use smart connect ? If so has any client connected to the 5Ghz radio of your node ? I have 2 BE98's in a wired aimesh configuration, those have 2 5Ghz Radios

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

It works fine because you have not turned the whole system to use the ethernet backhaul as you have wireless AiMesh nodes I also believed you have not changed the 5GHz-2 radio to be able to be used as both fronthaul and backhaul

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

I can confirm that with the GT-BE98 current firmware and a GT-AX6000 acting as an AiMesh node there is an issue. If the system is set to use ethernet backhaul mode or the 5GHZ-2 is set to anything other than a dedicated backhaul, no clients can connect wirelessly to the GT-AX6000 node...
