    AC68U No connectivity at all

After all of that, it seems I did update the firmware to 386.5 so must have been when I was zombified on a weekend a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps that was related to the crash/failure. After resetting it does seem like things have come back fine, though obviously lots of setting up to do now...

    AC68U No connectivity at all

Bah, full reset it must be then If only I had saved a config file. And if only the config restore process didn't cause an nvram shortage due to restoring old config parameters. Will see how I get on with a restore from memory!

    AC68U No connectivity at all

Problem is even if I set a static IP address on the computer I don't get any form of connectivity so can't reach the router webpage or SSH (even via ethernet).

    AC68U No connectivity at all

I was playing with a VPN setting earlier today while connected to a different VPN (I was not at home but wanted to test a new openvpn connection at work) and suddenly lost all connectivity. I assumed it was minor and would fix when I got home, however now I'm home I can't make the router...

    Namecheap.com DDNS with LetsEncrypt certificate

Curiously after 48 hours while it was left on the custom script setting, it does seem to have finally generated the LetsEncrypt certificate. For the benefit of everybody else I had the hostname set to blahblah.net (rather than @ or *) in both the script configuration and also in the web...

    Namecheap.com DDNS with LetsEncrypt certificate

Hi all, Apologies for bringing up a topic that I can see is fairly old but I just cannot seem to get things working and Ive done a lot of searching.... (running 386.2) My understanding (for anybody else in the future who searches) is that EZIPUPDATE didn't previously support https (which...

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

I have a strange feeling it is somehow related to the traffic stats, as I noticed the traffic stats are blank when the router stops responding, perhaps some kind of cache is corrupted and it fails to run a certain service....? We need somebody else to comment and see if they have traffic stats...

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

Im glad its not just me, happened twice in a week this week. I cant for the life of me work out what the trigger is.... What custom services are you using on your router? The only "complex" things Im running are: * DDNS updater (alongside Letsencrypt, though never got that working with my...

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

@sHORTYWZ - I have made this change and was running well for almost a month, but sadly the webui has crashed again now, so needing a router restart. Did you manage more than a month?

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

That's interesting, I've been giving it a go with the auto logout timer set at 1 hour, rather than unlimited and has been stable so far with that (I think 2 weeks). For good measure I'll give that a go too, and if it's definitely fixed I can happily do the tests individually to see which one...

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

And just to confirm once this has happened there is no response from the router until next power cycle? On web or SSH?

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

Thanks, yes I've found several of those, but mostly they seem to say you can just reboot httpd and it fixes things, however I can't even log into SSH when it goes into zombie mode. I'm thinking this might be something different, but don't know for sure, and was hoping there was some way of...

    AC68U UI Crashing occasionally

Hi all, Im a massive fan of my AC68U and thanks to Merlin for the epic firmware (running 384.19 latest version). However Im having some problems with it and finally decided its time to investigate a bit more.... Every now and again (approx once a month) the web interface just stops responding...

Dual wan anyone get it working with Reliability ?

I gave up and bought a Draytek 2862 and it wipes the floor with Asus' failover tech - so seamless and fast! Home router is still an AC68u, but for reliable failover it just cant hack it.

RT-AC68U dual WAN showing "cold-standby" and didn't fail over

@sshanky Did you ever work out what caused this? Im stuck in the same situation and cant seem to make it do anything else.
