    Proton Wireguard Client Question

Wow... I can't believe I overlooked that. It is working now. Thanks.

    Proton Wireguard Client Question

I have an Asus RT-AX86U running version 388.2.2. I currently use Wireguard server on the router so that I can connect to my home network remotely. That's been working perfectly for months. I recently started using Proton VPN at home for privacy, and I'd like to configure my network such that...

    Block Client Quirk - RT-AX86U

Firmware version 388.1 If I click on the client bubble from the network map screen, then click on a client and attempt to block internet access, it doesn't appear the setting takes. I can hit apply, then go right back to the same client, and it's off again. If I go to parental controls, I see...

    RT-AX86U DDNS Keeps Failing

Uptime Kuma is just monitoring software. I have it watch the DDNS address. When it doesn't return a response I get a Pushover notification. When I check the address in a web browser I just get an "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED" message.

    RT-AX86U DDNS Keeps Failing

I use Uptime Kuma to monitor the DDNS. I'll get a notification that DDNS is down and I will immediately attempt to access a service behind DDNS. As an example, Plex at mydns.asuscomm.com:32400. It will fail. I reapply the DDNS settings (with no changes) and I can then access Plex at that...

    RT-AX86U DDNS Keeps Failing

This just started happening in the last 24 hours so I doubt it has anything to do with firmware but it is Merlin V386.7_2 A few times a day my asuscomm.com DDNS will quit working. To get it working again all I have to do is go into the router settings for DDNS and click 'apply'. I get a warning...

    VPN Director & Port Forwarding?

Understood. I was never running multiple clients on the router without VPN Director. I was running a separate client on each machine. So is this the script you're referring to? I'm a little confused about how to edit this for my particular use. From what I've read elsewhere, tun11 would be...

    VPN Director & Port Forwarding?

Please bear with me.... I'm probably making this more complicated than it needs to be. I just set up VPN Director with a couple of VPNs that I use frequently. I was running the clients individually on each machine but I got bored and decided to play with VPN Director. I have all of that...

    RT-AX86U 2.5Gbps Port WAN Only?

Good call. I flashed the firmware again, did a reset then reconfigured. I now have a 2.5Gbps LAN port to go along with my 2.5Gpbs NIC on my NUC. Not sure what good it does me but at least they match!

    RT-AX86U 2.5Gbps Port WAN Only?

Did you have to do anything in the router settings to make this work?

    RT-AX86U 2.5Gbps Port WAN Only?

I've had people elsewhere tell me that the 2.5Gbps port on this router should work as a LAN port if not explicitly told to function as a WAN port. I have tried using it as a LAN port but connecting anything to this port causes the internet to go down and it requires a reboot to bring it back up...

RT-AX86U + OpenVPN + AdGuard Home = No Internet on Android

I actually have my PC at home set to use my router as the default gateway so only traffic intended for the LAN at work leaves my network. But I did overlook the fact that both VPN servers were using the same subnet. I've corrected that and it seems that all is well. I am able to use OpenVPN and...

RT-AX86U + OpenVPN + AdGuard Home = No Internet on Android

This is great. Thanks for taking the time to help me with this. Hopefully, one day, I understand what all of that means. I think I might have figured out what's causing the issue but now I just have to figure out what to do about it. I forgot that I keep my home PC connected to my work PC via...
