    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

Ok. I don't really use the Android app. Being a new router (upgrade from AC56U), 1 week old :), I wanted to test all the aspects. It's a very fine hardware running a very good firmware ;) Thanks.

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

But I don't have anything enabled that could interfere with Runner - AIProtection, QoS (traditional/adaptive) etc. are all off. My point was that Runner is disabled by simply connecting the Android app to the router - an abnormal behavior I think. After a reboot all is fine but I wanted a...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

Runner is disabled right the moment I connect to the router using the Android app (ASUS Router). Router RT-AC86U, firmware 382.1_2, Android app version 1.0.0.3.16 Is there any way to enable Runner without rebooting? Thanks.

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

Merry Christmas to everyone! I just saw these warnings in the syslog: What could be causing that? Router is AC86U, firmware 382.1_2. Thanks.

    SMB2

What do you get if you restart the Windows 10 machine and then try to access \\192.168.1.1 ? BTW, the path to smb2.conf is not between ' ' I just put them to emphasize there is a path. Sorry for the confusion as I don't really know if smbd is accepting a quoted string there...

    SMB2

Please use the smb.postconf script I posted to load the new config file.

    SMB2

Is not the same... As it was not working for me either, I modified couple of params by hand and used that smb.postconf script to load the new config file.

    SMB2

Merlin 380.67 and, of course, SMB1.0 is turned off.

    SMB2

No, AC56U. And by the way, the simplest way to use my config is to save it to a file, let's say smb2.conf Put this in your smb.postconf #!/bin/sh for pid in $(ps -w | grep [s]mbd | awk '{ print $1 }') do kill $pid 2> /dev/null done smbd -D -s 'path to smb2.conf'

    SMB2

I think the problem with your config is the guest related settings... I'm using SMB2 with this config file. [global] workgroup = WORKGROUP netbios name = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx server string = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx unix charset = UTF8 display charset = UTF8 log file = /var/log.samba log level = 0 max log...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Just wondering why the router is seen as being CTF+FA capable instead of only CTF capable...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

I wrote some posts ago about my problem with high CPU usage. At first I ignored it but now I'm wondering if this is the cause: Router is AC56U running Merlin 380.57 (upgraded from 378.56_2 with reset and manually configured). AFAIK only CTF is supported on my router and maybe something is...

    PCE-AC68 Windows 10 Drivers

For anyone interested :) So far, the best and stable driver is 2.0.8.8 (6.30.223.228 / 06.02.2014), in my case at least (Windows 10 Pro x64 PC with PCE-AC68 and RT-AC56U router). Here are the wireless settings on router and adapter respectively: WAN is 500Mbps/25Mbps cable connection...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

RT-AC56U, Merlin 380.57, factory reset after install, manually configured HW acceleration is enabled but I have high CPU usage (>60% both cores) when downloading. WAN is 500Mbps cable connection and my PC is connected via wireless (866Mbps link). Doing a speed test shows ~450Mb so the wireless...

    PCE-AC68 Windows 10 Drivers

It took Asus a month to (re)create the W10 section and link W81 driver to it :)
