Setting VPN at the router, but whitelisting 1 application

Hello there folks, I currently have a RT-AC68W running the latest version of Asus Merlin. As part of my network, I also have a RaspberryPi running Pi-Hole. I have set-up a VPN at the router level, and my RaspberryPi is currently not going through it. When I add the RaspberryPi to the client...

Error on all Apple Devices: “The name of your computer is already in use on this network”

A few weeks ago I started getting this weird msg on my Mac saying that my computer name was already in use. What I didn't realize at that time is that this was impacting all my Apple devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad and HomePod). After digging into the internet, I couldn't find much. While I am not...

YazFi YazFi - enhanced AsusWRT-Merlin Guest WiFi inc. SSID <-> VPN Client

Is there a way to see the current installed version from the web GUI? If not, can we please have that small feature? It is just much easier to check form the GUI as I have a monthly routine to update the Asus Merlin Firmware. :)

Asus RT-AC86U running merlin. Guest network setup with local DNS (PiHole)

Can you provide more details on how you solved this? I am currently facing the same situation. I have a RT-AC68 running Merlin and a Pi-Hole. Users on the Guest network have no access to the intranet (and currently no access to the internet as they can't reach the DNS server: pi-hole)

    Disable VPN on Guest Network

Hey Maverickcdn, the policy rules are forcing a few clientes to use the VPN. The Guest clientes are not supposed to be using the tunnel. But for a unknown reason, they don't even have access to the internet.

    August Connect issue?

Hey Neeham, thanks for coming back to provide insights. I currently do not have any custom DNS. The DNS Server option is blank. I have the DDNS service turned on, I will disable it and give it a try.

Home network switches (16 port and 5-8 port)

For the switch to work as the DHCP server what layer do I need? Layer 2? I think that would be something else desirable, so the switch can work as the core and the router will only provide Internet and Wireless

Home network switches (16 port and 5-8 port)

Very good points, as a Mac user I don't want to be stuck with Flash/Java and etc..

Home network switches (16 port and 5-8 port)

After carefully reviewing everyones comments and feedback (thanks for that). I made a change to my sketch. The second router (RT-AC68U, running on AP mode) will be connected directly to the core switch, as recommended by some of you. I did some research on switches that would fit my needs...
