    Operating Channel

I did a bit more digging in this Forum and found useful and informative reading on this topic. A good read: http://mail.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-features/31743-bye-bye-40-mhz-mode-in-24-ghz-part-1 And one of many discussions...

    Operating Channel

Wow, I had no idea how informative this question would be for seasoned veterans :) You are welcome So here is a related question - What does setting a Channel to "Auto" mean? I assumed that the router would look around for potential interference and attempt to pick clear space. Nope, at...

    Operating Channel

I have 378.50 running on my RT-N66U. At the moment I am in setup mode, the router configured as an AP Is there any way , via GUI or CLI , what Channels the "Auto" setting has chosen for operation at 2.4G and 5G bands?

    Utilizing internal SD card RT-N66U

Thanks, I guess I'll just repartition the SD and recover my 500Mb. As you likely recognize, my SD partitions were set up following OWTRW2 threads over at DD-wrt. I gave up on them, primarily because I like (==buy) Asus hardware and could not figure out which branch might actually run, and it...

    Utilizing internal SD card RT-N66U

    I have a 32GB SD card partitioned (all ext2) as /dev/sda1 1010.8M 1.3M 958.2M 0% /tmp/mnt/entware /dev/sda3 493.9M 2.3M 466.1M 0% /tmp/mnt/jffsspace /dev/sda4 27.3G 44.0M 26.2G 0% /tmp/mnt/dataspace I plan to install...

    Logout and Login

OK, so that is FF wide, good to know. I now realize that a connection to the asuswrt-Merlin times out after a reasonably long period of time, that is why I saw the new login screen. Is that period programmable? I am sort of learning the differences with ddwrt one at a time :)

    Logout and Login

OK, I like CiscoX's suggestion - that seems to work well. (Where do I look for a definition of ctl + F5?, is that Merlin or Firefox) I like to multitask, have lots of tabs open, closing browser is a PITA. I don't intentionally have anything set to auto-log me in, but browers these days...

    Logout and Login

Let me now add that I am convinced I am not really Logged in, I try to make config changes, then select apply. All I get is an endless Applying Settings display, as I might expect if I did not have permission to make the change.

    Logout and Login

I new to Merlin, Long Term dd-wrt user. I have loaded 378.50 to a new RT-N66U and am setting up configs before putting it on-line. When I open the IP address of the unit, I am already logged in (It could be already cached, I have made a coupl tries at this). I click Logout, I get the Logout...
