    (384.17) Weird AImesh behaviour.

My connection priority is set to wired as well. I've found wireless AIMESH to be pretty much unusable due to the speed drop, even over short distances. As i said, it's totally random. node (rt86) MAC could appear either in 2.4Ghz log, 5Ghz log, BOTH ( ! ) or neither. We use different nodes...

    (384.17) Weird AImesh behaviour.

Makes perfect sense, even if there's no need for wireless checks since it's already connected through cable :( Thank you for your answer.

    (384.17) Weird AImesh behaviour.

Greetings. I have two routers: -Rt-ax88 (master) -Rt-ac86 (node) Both are running Merlin firmware 384.17. Is it normal that when the rt86 is connected through ethernet (wired) to my 88, a 5ghz or 2ghz (totally random) wireless connection shows the MAC address of my node in my wireless log ...

    Asus RT-AX88U Firmware 3.0.0.4.384_7968

Have tried starting from both Merlin 384.15 Alpha and Asus stock 7756 previous to the flash. Formatted JFFS partition at next boot. Restored factory settings. Flashed 7968 and proceded to a minimal setup. *At this point WAN was already down* Restored factory settings with new firmware...

    Asus RT-AX88U Firmware 3.0.0.4.384_7968

Definitely a WAN issue here. Every other FW works fine. Wan down for 5 good minutes upon boot/reboot/power cycle/factory default/whatever, then WAN up with this message: WAN Connection: WAN was restored. Edit: Lots of syslog errors upon reboot; Dec 19 06:58:42 kernel: ^[[0;33;41m[ERROR...

Yup, reflashed 7756 and WAN immediately up. Something is wrong with the new firmware.

    ASUS RT-AX88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.7756

Which is fine by me. With a gigabit connection, i dont use qos. Really. Wifi signal is strong, everything is fast as it should be. Perhaps the different behavior is due to a different hardware revision, but on the rev 1.1, this firmware works really well.

Greetings, Ax88 384.14 beta2-new-gfec6767101 Administration/System tab not responding when clicking "Apply"

    ASUS RT-AX88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.7756

7756 running fine here. No slowdown. Ax88 rev 1.1 Thankfully, this FW works, as every attempt to flash an older version automatically results in a rollback to 7756. Never experienced this on my other routers, and there's no option to disable this behavior.

Static client IP - DNS queries unreplied (lots) in connection log.

Greetings, This is what i see when i setup static IP adresses with DNS on the clients (desktop/ Ipad). As soon as i enter something else than the router IP , i get lots of unreplied queries in my connections. And this is my system log (last lines) Nov 12 20:47:38 kernel: nf_conntrack...

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

Any alteration to the default (out of of the box) wifi settings would deteriorate the signal. I'll probably buy another in a few months.
