Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

WPA-2 Personal is what I've got it set to as well.

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

It's the ax-82u, I'm pretty sure I'm outside the warranty period now. Here are my current settings, is there anything I can try?

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

I really don't want to do that, lol It's all in the lving room and I want a clean setup. There's gotta be some way to get this working correctly.

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

Making the changes in that article does not seem to have improved anything, unfortunately. I don't think signal strength is an issue, it's a small house and many of the devices are in the same room as the router. The light bulbs, for example, are only a few feet from the router but still fail to...

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

Looks like you beat me to this before I edited it. I did do the changes in that article but I'm wondering if there anything else that can be done to improve reliability.

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

So I disabled smart connect but my IoT devices are still not staying connected properly. I'm going to try some of the settings changes from that article. Are there any other changes I can make that might help?

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

Thanks folks, I think I'll just give smartconnect the boot, like many of you say. Doesn't sound like it was ever ready for prime time, hate it when companies push broken features.

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

I had AdGuard set up as the DNS but it honestly doesn't seem to do anything so I'll probably change it back to auto. Where would I find the UI version? The firmware is just the latest stable Gnuton release. The pet feeder actually connected after I reset it. The only thing not working now is...

Is there any way to get dual band to work correctly?

Ive had issues with dual band wifi on this routed (ax-82u) since I've owned it. I'm not sure if this is just a problem with dual band in general or if I've done something wrong. I have a lot of connectivity issues when in dual band mode, particularity with 2.4ghz devices. They don't stay...

Beta [FORK] [DSL] [TESTERS] GNUton's Alpha/Beta Merlin builds

Has 388 been removed? Both betas appear to be gone and it's back to 386.

Does installing Merling/Gnuton affect your AI Protection eligibility?

Thanks Merlin, I wasn't sure how it worked. I thought maybe each router had a unique license key or something like that. Thanks again.

Does installing Merling/Gnuton affect your AI Protection eligibility?

Hi all, Going to be installing Gnuton on my AX82U as soon as the stable version of the current beta drops. I had a question though. This router has lifetime AI Protection, does installing custom firmware affect that in any way or will I still be able to use it?

You're absolutely correct. I really hope he keeps going with it, I think the 82u is a great little router and it deserves cfw support. My hat's off to Merlin and GNUton, it's a lot of work to do all this, thank you guys for doing it.

    AIProtection and privacy concerns

Hi Merlin, thanks for the link, I did see that earlier. But it's by GNUton, right? I applaud him for taking up the torch on tthe 82u but I'm guessing this is like a fan release? If so I'm not expecting long term support so not sure whether to bother with it or not.
