    Scribe error='libssl.so.1.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32'

    Thanks guys for the script. I just noticed snmpd on my AX88U wasn't running since I last updated entware. Running the script against libopenssl did the trick. For some reason I still had to force reinstall snmpd, but maybe because I started messing with it before I discovered this thread.

    Solved Cable Modem->VLAN Tagged Switch->MoCA Adapter->MoCA Adapter->VLAN Tagged Switch->AX86U Router

    That is so weird. I also have Netgear GS308T switches, and have them configured as pasted below - which I believe is logically identical to what @drinkingbird you suggested. And it works just fine. No messing with management VLAN or anything else. I think it's the cleanest configuration...

    Solved Cable Modem->VLAN Tagged Switch->MoCA Adapter->MoCA Adapter->VLAN Tagged Switch->AX86U Router

    This is actually very similar to the configuration I am currently using. I have 2 separate LTE modems in the attic, along with a Synology NAS and an AiMesh node. Downstairs I have the RT-AX88U as main router, along with my PC and rest of network stuff. The attic and downstairs are connected...

    Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.8 is now available for specific models

    This is just a heads-up - I managed to enable SNMP on RT-AX88U on this release using snmpd provided by entware packages. No more Broadcom related snmpd crashes on this router and no need to downgrade to mini_snmpd. No idea which update actually caused it, but I'm very happy with this discovery. :)

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

    I just noticed that my AC68U in media bridge mode got some weird Open NAT option that wasn't there before. I don't know if it's supposed to be there or not? Judging by the red frame it must be a gaming router thing...

    The rmerlin donation thread.

    Donated as well. Started using Asuswrt-Merlin back in the N66U days, and stuck with it for a long time, then migrated to Shibby's tomato due to better support of USB LTE modems. After I got some more Asus gear, I used official firmware because back then only that had Ai-mesh support. Now all but...

    Stability issue with RT-AC68U Firmware 384.15 Media Bridge mode?

    I also have RT-AC68U in Media Bridge mode, at fixed channel 5Ghz. Configured to be in bridge mode directly from new setup wizard. I found that after a reboot it has issues with reaching outside of LAN. For example ping 8.8.8.8 reports that "Network is unreachable". The workaround I found...

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

    Once I saw that you maghuro succeeded in in compiling the newest code for AC86U, I attempted the same to learn something. That was an interesting experience, specially since I've never even used git before, and my Linux knowledge is pretty basic. :) I don't know what magic binary blobs Asus put...

    Asus-Merlin 384.15: amtm won't run, just hangs

    Had the same issue on AC68U dirty flashed from latest official ASUS. Hanged on theme selection, processor usage skyrocketed, and after about 10 secs I got a segmentation fault. In my case reset to factory and jffs reformat helped though. Also I made sure to give it ample time between making...

    RT-AX88U snmpd - mini Guide

    Thanks for sharing. Before I wasn't even aware that mini-snmp exists. I set it up on an AX88U and on an old N66U running stock Asus as well. It's a bit limited, as expected, but provides the basic status and traffic information. Now I can check on all my home devices for no reason at all. :)

    Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server)

    First of all, thanks a lot for your time investigating this. I have copied your recommended settings for my AX88U and everything runs really nicely at lightning speed. On a side note, before installing Unbound, every so often I used to run Steve Gibson's DNS Benchmark to find out the fastest...

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81351

    No issues so far after over 24h. Running AC86U with AC68U as AiMesh node, and a venerable N66U in Media Bridge mode. Hopefully it will be just as stable as previous 81049 which was the most stable firmware for me up to date. By stable I mean it shouldn't do anything weird by itself when left...

    LTE USB Dongle at full speed?

    It's a question of if and when Asus updates their code, and besides RAS (ppp dialup) mode, adds the full speed NDIS (network card) mode as well for the LTE modems to use. Then Merlin could use that in his releases. Hopefully someone at Asus is aware of this issue, because it's getting more...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

    RT-N66U. Firmware:3.0.0.4.374.38_0-em Confirming the em build range is at least as good as the old SDK5 builds. Possibly even slightly better; checking the maximum range with my cell phone outside my house allowed me to go at least 10 meters further than I ever did (2.4 GHz). The result of...
