Two different Asus AX88u's, Two different power adapters???

Brick says 2.31 on it. You can see in the attached picture. Little hard to read, but it's a one.

Two different Asus AX88u's, Two different power adapters???

Odd thing too. Newegg's photos show both the white and black box for the RX88U. And the adapters are different for both...

Two different Asus AX88u's, Two different power adapters???

Yeah, the "brick" is still 45W. It's 19.5 @ 2.31 though, but still 45W. Still odd that they'd be different.

Two different Asus AX88u's, Two different power adapters???

That might be the case. The boxes for them are actually different. The first one I got in the white box has the normal, one piece, power adapter. The second that showed up today was in the black box and had the two piece adapter with the larger brick. What's also odd is the power output on...

Two different Asus AX88u's, Two different power adapters???

Hey guys. Quick question. I picked up two of the AX88u's to replace my old AC88u/AC3100 combo, and there's something weird. The first one I got (two days ago) has the regular Asus power adapter, where the plug is on the small brick, just like my older models have. I got my second one today...

Want to add a folder in /jffs/ but it's in read only (Need JFFS expert)

Did you ever get this resolved? My AC3100 is having the same issue. Tried manually mounting the partition but got the same IO error as you. I noticed my logging was complaining about a bad block, so, I'm thinking the NAND might be toast in my router. Everything else seems to work, however.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

I only ask, because, even with the bad JFFS parition, the 3100 works fine as a node on 384.19. Have it running that way now. It's only when I install the beta that it's not discoverable, or even pingable (but it has an IP).

Would that be something that's change from 384.19?

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

So there is something up with the beta on the 3100 for sure. I've rolled back to the RC 483.19. Even though I can't the the JFFS to mount, I'm able to add the 3100 as a mesh node. Another thing I noticed on the beta (with the 3100) is that after enabling SSH in the GUI, I am not able to...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Any tips on how to do this? I still can't get the JFFS to mount on my 3100.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

I'm thinking my 3100 might be borked. When I try to manually mount the jffs partion, I get the following: admin@RT-AC3100-2C60:/dev# mount -t jffs2 /dev/mtdblock4 /jffs mount: mounting /dev/mtdblock4 on /jffs failed: Input/output error Not sure if there's a way around this. Anyone know if...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Anyone know how I can get the /jffs partition mounted? No matter what I do, the dang thing won't mount. I went back to stock FW and then flashed back to merlin 384.19, and it still doesn't have the partition mounted. No idea why.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

I have, multiple times, and my JFFS partition will not mount at all. Even flashed back to 384.19 and did it there, twice, and nothing.

@brianward317 Can you log into the GUI on your 3100 and see if you're having issues with JFFS as well?

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

So even after enabling SSH in the GUI on the 3100, I'm still not able to SSH to the box. Refuses the connection. Is there some way to get that JFFS partition mounted without SSH?
