Phone mac registered in the router already. Had a registered ip which I had written down. When the phone attempted to work, it would briefly show an ip on the phone which was different from the one written down. Then the phone would say no internet connection and get the 169.x.x.x self address...

Tried WiFi sweet spots, seems to fit the need. Still moving the AC68s around adjusting coverage. What I neglected to say is the primary router is in a metal outbuilding about 65 yards from the back of the house. It sits in front of a window. The other AX3000 is on top floor at back of the house...
