I haven't seen anything like that on the ASUS routers. But you could create a hotspot on a desktop/laptop and just allow access to certain sites. Then switch it off once homework etc is done. Or you might find flashing DD-WRT or tomato onto the router would give you these settings. Sent...

Had a quick look online. Looks like your not the only one with the problem. I'm assuming you have the Google home app on your phone? And you set it them up that way? Hard reset a Chromecast. And set it up on a hardwired device (Don't use a wireless device) and see if that solves the problem...

Your wireless devices need to be on the same frequency as the Chromecasts etc. If they are on 2.4 your other devices need to be on 2.4Ghz as well. So if your floating between 2.4 and 5GHz or your SSIDs for the 2.4 and 5GHz are the same then your devices will connect to the strongest signal...
