    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

I have a RT-AC68U and a RT-AC68R both running the firmware 380.64_2 . What are the steps required to move to the newest firmware 380.68_4 ? One of the router is in AP mode, the other one is in router mode. Can I save my config and restore it to the newest firmware? Thanks for your help.

Ok. Thanks Merlin for your quick reply. So I guess it is useless to try and find that information in the cstats file saved then?

IPTraffic. Is it possible to get the web file transfer source ?

I am running on an Asus RT-AC68R with the latest 380.64_2 Merlin firmware. The IPTraffic details points to a large download to my pc at 1 am. Is there a way to find out the source of the web file from the information gathered by IPTraffic ? The information provided by that monitoring is really...

    rt-ac68r H/W Ver A1. Is it ok?

Thanks for your quick reply. I have been looking around more and it looks like you are right that the only difference is the shielding on USB ports. The A1 might have interference on the 2.4 Ghz band if using the USB3 port without proper cabling... I think I will keep it as I don't plan on...

    rt-ac68r H/W Ver A1. Is it ok?

I just got a great deal from Newegg on the RT-AC68R ($57 after rebate and discount) and could not resist. I currently have a RT-AC68U H/W Ver A2 and it has been working fine for a long time. I seem to remember that Ver A1 was not recommended for some reason but can't find why and where it was...

traffic statistics on AC68U AP mode

Running 378.56_2 on RT-AC68U in AP mode. I don't seem to be able to get any traffic statistics even though I have enabled it. I suspect it could be because I am running as an Access Point but would like to confirm that. Is is possible to get traffic statistics on an AP mode device ? I have a...

    RT-68U Interruptions on 2.4 (but 5GHz fine)

Ok, I have followed the instructions and moved to the Merlin firmware RT-AC68U_378.56_2 after resetting the config to the default. It is a little more complicated because I use the AC68U in AP mode and my normal router already has the address 192.168.1.1 so that creates a problem when I reset...

    RT-68U Interruptions on 2.4 (but 5GHz fine)

I have not done a hard reset/reconfigure after updating the firmware but I feel I should not have to as it seems a bit too complicated for a regular user. I have not verified yet that this only happens on the 2.4 Ghz band. This is my next action. If it works fine on the 5 Ghz band, I will just...

    RT-68U Interruptions on 2.4 (but 5GHz fine)

I am having a very similar problem with my RT-AC68U running on 378.9313 It disconnects on 2 different Windows laptops. One is running Win10 and the other one is running Win7. The caution icon over the WiFi icon in the system tray and says "no internet" under status but it shows good signal bars...
