DHCP - UEFI and PXE support.

Nobody is saying "Stop what you are doing & make this happen". It's not the most important thing, but it is a reasonable request. If implemented there are sure to be hundreds of users happy about it. The ability to do it, at least to some degree already exists within the firmware. Adding an...

DHCP - UEFI and PXE support.

Wait, so because people haven't asked about it you think nobody wants it? PXE boot is VERY useful, but more for business settings & less for amateur hobbyists. pfSense, Ubiquiti, some old Linksys, OpenWRT, & professional grade DHCP servers support it. It's used in things like Netboot.xyz...

Says Internet Connected but no internet, but HTTP traffic redirects to modem setup page

It didn't seem like it was something that should have required a wait, as if the internet is unplug it shows it practically instantly, I assumed changing how it detects that should be updated within a couple minutes not an hour. Whatever the case it worked, & I'll leave it here for anyone else...

Says Internet Connected but no internet, but HTTP traffic redirects to modem setup page

So it's not actually the modem but that best simplifies the Title as that's essentially what the scenario is. My setup I have an Asus RT-68U that serves my household. We connect to the landlord's very unsecured Netgear Nighthawk R6900 that also serves the landlord's mom who lives in what is...

DDNS Shining Lock Exclamation Icon ❗

Naw, my regular setup is under a triple-NAT & works fine. Unfortunately the other half of the duplex & I have gone over our 1.2TB monthly limit so the internet is off. But as I need internet I've been trying to get it going with different work-arounds, but my main phone is on a grandfathered...

DDNS Shining Lock Exclamation Icon ❗

That makes perfect sense, the shining lock is "Encrypted by Let's Encrypt" & the ❕is failure. thanks for that. couldn't see the forest for the trees.

DDNS Shining Lock Exclamation Icon ❗

I'm currently trying to work around internet outage issues & when trying to use a USB phone-modem for internet I noticed on the [Network Map] page where it's saying it's connected (even though it can't be used) there's an icon next to the DDNS Name that looks like a Padlock with the securement...

is a USB 2.0 flash drive fast enough for use with asuswrt-merlin + add ons?

What argument? I have not had any arguments or anything like an argument in this thread...

Old Dog needs help with new tricks

I would say consider how your antennas are placed. people generally want to put them in a Y shape, but that is generally not a very good setup. Think of the antenna as doughnuts. if they are pointed straight up the hole of the doughnut would be the space right above/below the antenna itself, not...

is a USB 2.0 flash drive fast enough for use with asuswrt-merlin + add ons?

It's fine. I was concerned because I was using the USB2 port but it was saying USB3 I didn't think about it being the name. Had I had something plugged into the other port I probably would have noticed it. Once I realized that it's all good. I could try out the drive in the USB3 port, but I...

    NVRAM [Release] NVRAM Save/Restore Utility

It sounds like it's a database somewhere that saves boot information, probably just a minimum, kinda like a BIOS on a computer, It just has the stuff the computer needs to be able to function. The router can't load the OS if it doesn't know where the OS is & doesn't have the ability to access...

is a USB 2.0 flash drive fast enough for use with asuswrt-merlin + add ons?

Oh. I didn't think of that as a banner. The device has 2 USB ports, 1 is a USB3 the other a USB2. They don't change when the device connected changes or when the Admin > System > USB Mode is set to USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 so I feel those are more like Static Port Labels

is a USB 2.0 flash drive fast enough for use with asuswrt-merlin + add ons?

That totally makes sense. Thinking about it when I formatted it it's default name was "USB3" it's a cheap generic part & one with the annoying old USB3 mini connector, so that makes sense, thanks. I'm not sure what banner you are talking about. I'm not seeing anything with speeds

is a USB 2.0 flash drive fast enough for use with asuswrt-merlin + add ons?

I actually just had a really dumb "Argument" with him in another thread. The thread about Backing up settings he said there was no reason to backup settings because doing an M&M install is so easy. I tried to explain how those aren't even close to the same thing but he just kept insisting I was...

is a USB 2.0 flash drive fast enough for use with asuswrt-merlin + add ons?

Because it's custom configuration things that are being run from it. You can't access the NAS until after the router is up... But you need the NAS to start the router... Doesn't work... I'm not hosting files from the USB, it's entware & amtm & diversion & that stuff. I don't need fast access or...
