very common around here except for newer construction starting about 5-6 years ago

3 story house approx 5K sq ft with limited ethernet wiring

Go with MoCA, I'm using it to my nodes (see my sig, though I need to update those f/w versions). I'm about to add another Node and since I have five coax runs to that router area (and back to the coax central hub from the old DTV install) I don't need to use another splitter on the current run...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

All is fine at this point with 22525 here as well. I am down one AiMesh node (68U) until I get one SMA connector replaced on the board, hopefully this week.

RT-AC68U - What type of antenna connector is this on the circuit board?

It was built to pass a 10' drop test, typical from the 1918 models. No case needed.

RT-AC68U - What type of antenna connector is this on the circuit board?

Yes, it's soldered to the board, 5 points. Here's the image. So, that connector is one piece. I thought the end that is soldered was a female connector and the other piece snaps in.. well, I was hoping. I have no clue where the rest of the inside of the connector (the end that is outside...

RT-AC68U - What type of antenna connector is this on the circuit board?

Well, hit my head on a antique phone (again) hanging on the wall above the RT-AC68U (which fell from the wall) and hit a corner of the 68U causing that corner's antenna connector to be lose. I took the 68U apart and see the issue. I'm curious if I can replace the part that came off. It is...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21709

It did when I only had the AC68u, back in the day with those early Merlin versions, I had set the channel to a DFS and ran with that for a while until I needed to use an older client that didn't have that support I see now Asus did not resubmit that model to the FCC and read what Merlin posted

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21709

Interesting, the Nodes do their own thing now in regard to the 5 GHz band's control channel. They stayed on 153 (the AX86U went to 100) and after reboot, the two Nodes are on the very low 5 GHz channels. And, the AC68U won't connect to the AX86U for its backhaul (which is Wireless backhaul)...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21709

I had that uninstalled, before this laptop updated to Win 11. I got it, switched the AX86U's Control Channel to Auto and enabled using DFS channels. At first, all clients were at a high Control Channel (think 153) and 20 MHz bandwidth and crappy speedtests. Then, after a few minutes, the...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21709

what the heck, I decided to enable 802.11ax/WiFi 6 Mode and 160 MHz in the AX86U. Control Channel still set to 149, channel bandwidth set to 20/40/80/160 MHz. Looks like both Galaxy S22+ are connecting via AX and a Asus USB-AX56. I need to check the channel bandwidth on these. But my most...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21709

Interesting that he named it nuclear reset this is what I have been doing back to the AC68 beginning Anyways, running well with 21709, at 80 MHz. I just got two additional AX clients. Will be configuring/testing with 160 MHz soon.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

On your S22 Ultra's WiFi setting for that SSID, have you tried switching from Randomized MAC to Phone MAC? Once you click the gear icon to the right of your 5GHz Wireless network, click on 'View more' for that setting (Android 13).

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.20566

I did reset(s) coming from Merlin, which was couple year old version. Even if I was on Merlin's current version, I would still Factory default, upload Asuswrt and again do a Factory default.

    Using AiMesh wired/wireless backhaul settings...

We have a similiar setup, I have one additional ECB7250 to the my 68U (currently I am testing that 68U with wireless only in our Detached ADU). I have Backhaul Connection Priority to Auto. You are using Backhaul Connection Priority WAN first now, correct? If so and assuming you have a Guest...
