    RT-AC68U as print server

My trusted old print server just died. I have a RT-AC68U (with Merlin) lying around and was wondering if I can use it as a USB Print Server. I would like to connect it to my current router (Orbi) and just use it as a print server to access my printer. It will be even better if I can use the...

This is happening to me as well on the new firmware. Hope we get a newer version soon.

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Thanks - how did you do the full reset? Did you clear NVRAM too and re-add the nodes? My other problem is that many times clients tend to connect to the further (and much weaker) main router rather than the closer node. And of course the same problem that everyone is having - the node tends...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Is it only me? Upgraded to the latest firmware. Using AC68Us. I keep on losing internet connections. The client remains connected but no internet. If I disconnect and connect to the other frequency (5 Ghz to 2.4 Ghz), I get connection again. Happens several times a day.

Thanks I guess no plans for AiMesh for N66U ?

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

A silly question - I am assuming that the AC66U firmware is not going to work on N66U, correct?

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Yes. It is a 66U that I am using as a media bridge. I have reset it too.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Nope, I did not. But I rebooted the Master and the node, and everything seems to be displaying fine now (so far). My fixed client still connects to the distant Master though instead of the closer node :(.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Besides the above issue, I have another problem. My node shows "offline" both in the app as well as the GUI, yet it is clearly working with some clients connected to it. @arthurlien, I sent the feedback just now.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

@arthurlien, this is the exact same issue that I have. Will send you logs as feedback. I think this is something that needs to be worked on.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Will do. I rebooted everything today, so will give it some time and then send you the system log and wifi log. Thank you.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Yup, I have the same issue too, except that my fixed location client seems to like the distant location Master better most of the time.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I have a similar issue. For example, I am using a 66U as a media bridge in a fixed location. It will see the node closest to it but will connect to it only intermittently. Instead it will connect to the Master, even though the signal is weaker.
