    Traffic Analysis vs Statistics?

I do at least have it on its own subnet! I was trying to figure out how it got compromised thru the Asus AIProtection, forcing everything to use a DNS host that blocks malicious sites, Skynet, Diversion, and that I flat refuse connections from outside the US.

    Traffic Analysis vs Statistics?

Thanks for the quick responses. I just saw the plot on the Statistics tab and it shows a constant 1MB. But I think I misinterpreted that as 1MB/sec. My error. I was getting freaked out that my water heater had been hacked. But I think I'm now reassured it's normal traffic.

    Traffic Analysis vs Statistics?

So does that mean I'm just being overly paranoid and it's not part of some botnet? I guess it's just polling a server somewhere every 60s to see if any settings have changed or new commands issued? Or its just sending state info every 60s?

    Traffic Analysis vs Statistics?

Asus RT-AC86u with Merlin 386.2_4 I have a wifi water heater which the Traffic Analysis statistics tab shows is using ~1MB every hour. over 24MB per day! When I look at the realtime traffic, I don't see that much traffic going out. it looks like it uploads some packets every 60sec or so...

WAN Port Forwarding entries keep getting dropped

Asus RT-AC66U-B1 running Merlin 384.19 I have two ports that I typically have open for WAN access to a couple of IP cameras with static IPs. These have worked perfectly in the past for many years. Recently they stopped working, and I have noticed that each time I make the entry via the WebUI...

Skynet Use Skynet to continue using infected device but block outbound traffic?

Could you please explain that in a bit more detail? Are you suggesting that I route all the device traffic to the router's internal loopback? I have no access to the internals of the device itself.

Skynet Use Skynet to continue using infected device but block outbound traffic?

Sadly a new t-stat isn't an easy choice. My HVAC has variable speed everything, so that somewhat limits my choices. A Nest is not an option. I do at least have all my IoT devices segregated on a guest wifi with no access to the rest of the network. I really liked the option in YazFi that...

Skynet Use Skynet to continue using infected device but block outbound traffic?

I have a thermostat that is one of the notorious ones for getting hacked. The OEM completely stopped all support for it. It's a $700 thermostat, and I like it better than any other one on the market. Unfortunately it constantly gets infected with malware and turned into part of a botnet...

YazFi Yazfi guest network subnets with WebUI Network Map

I've noticed several other odd behaviors as well, unrelated to YazFi, so I have a feeling that may be the cause. I uninstalled all scripts, including YazFi, and then re-installed only YazFi, and get the same behavior. I've also noticed that all my port forwards on the WAN settings get dropped...

YazFi Yazfi guest network subnets with WebUI Network Map

I've had a similar experience the last day or two. AC66U-B1 router with the latest Merlin firmware and all scripts updated. Over the weekend the script would assign each guest network a separate subnet, as intended. Starting yesterday, it doesn't appear to be doing so anymore. Each time I...

YazFi Yazfi guest network subnets with WebUI Network Map

Thank you! That is a perfectly acceptable workaround and has everything I need.

YazFi Yazfi guest network subnets with WebUI Network Map

I have a feeling I already know the answer, but wanted to ask before I inadvertently break something by fiddling around. I *love* the extended capabilities of YazFi! I have a guest network created that I use solely for all those crummy low security IoT devices that seem to keep accumulating on...
