    RT-BE92U New Merlin Firmware

It was mentioned on the Asus forum that there is a known bug. Asus is aware of the bug in the Broadcom chip in these routers, and the Merlin team has reported it directly to Asus. So the suggestion is to turn off roaming assistant until then. I am happy to say that I have been fine with 6 Ghz...

    RT-BE92U New Merlin Firmware

Ok, something really went wrong. All of a sudden, all the pre-configured client names disappeared and AiMesh fell apart. I had to hard reset them all. I have to set everything up again, now it works somewhat. I'll leave it like this and monitor it, but right now the whole AiMesh thing is pretty...

There was continuous reboot and connection break. Sometimes there was a problem only after a few hours.

Well no. I didn't refrash the original since I last tested 6 Ghz few weeks ago, but now it's working. I don't know why.

    RT-BE92U New Merlin Firmware

Quite an interesting thing happened. I got another router like this for a very cheap price. I thought I would start testing it to see exactly when and why 6 Ghz and MLO are not working. I saw that some people were fine using the latest official firmware and after a few hard resets. Well, I tried...

Let's hope this model will be good too someday, if ASUS finally solve it with software. I only kept it because I was able to buy it very cheaply and I trust that it will be good one day. In the meantime, I can use the other functions with Merlin, and it seems to work properly even under heavy...

The 6 Ghz range The range of 6 GHz is about 80 percent of 5 GHz, I can't measure real Wifi 7 because that would require MLO, but it should also be kept in mind that 6 GHz is currently only stable with Power Saving mode.

Without 6 Ghz, the rest much better. I only have one wifi 7 compatible device, but I don't yet tried since beta, but tomorrow I will test it.

    RT-BE92U New Merlin Firmware

I'll summarize my experiences so far with the beta Merlin fw. MLO and 6 Ghz are problematic, which is no wonder, because the ASUS source also has problems with it. However, I'm currently putting quite a load on the router's resources, I'm running SMB with 4 large HDDs, 2 VPNs, 2 wireless...
