Sorry for delayed response. SO i finally got this setup to work. Turns out for what ever reason the VM router (when in modem mode) would not let go of a previous mac code related to my laptop. tried tons of times using same config and just wont pass an external IP to the BE-86U and literally...

Has anyone from the working successfully got the RT-BE86U working on a virgin media line using the Hub 5 in modem mode??? If you have or anyone has a trick up there sleeve please post. Would Merlin firmware be an option to try??? Thanks for feedback.

The problem with this is you then lose the scheduled Off task running on the nodes. Id like to turn of the Main router leaving the node running then which then turns off via a scheduled task.

Does Merlin's FW allow users to control wireless scheduling per Node? Like if i want to schedule turning the 5G/2G off from my main AP but leave the wifi on for Nodes? I am using the wired Backhaul. Regards

I read this is related to the Kernel not loading a module correctly. TBH i go lost after the second page of reading. What i found strange is if this is a Bug in the Kernel then why only a select few reporting this being such an integral componant. Does anyone know how to find the revision...

This FW rendered my Mesh in-accessible resulting in each page taking 10+secs to load. Done all the normal power cycles and resets. For me this is another bad FW from Asus. Back to previous for me.

Are you not having a double NAT problems running this setup? The BT hub cant be put into a bridge mode so the hub is running NAT and so to is your Asus router running NAT.
