Changing channels to arbitrary values on ASUS RT-AC2600

Sorry, it's my misinterpretation of the analyzer output, but thanks for the suggestions.

Changing channels to arbitrary values on ASUS RT-AC2600

Hi, I'm trying to optimise my router setup by changing channels for both bands to less congested one. Wifi Analyzer on my Android device is recommending channel 116 for both 2.4/5GHz bands. However, my ASUS router settings doesn't seem to support this channel, or any of the other less congested...

Recommendation for wireless router option and placement

Nope, comparing the total price of getting the router vs just the plan itself, over 2 years, the difference is about $300, which is a lot less than what any of the 3 routers cost where I am. Would appreciate some answers to my original questions now.

Recommendation for wireless router option and placement

True. I wouldn't have thought of it, but I think it's a good opportunity to get a newer WiFi 6 router at a steep discount? As a reference, the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 costs about $650-700 (local currency), and I'm able to get it from my ISP for slightly above $300.

Recommendation for wireless router option and placement

Buildings in my country are made up of concrete, bricks and metal beams, so it's a bit less signal friendly than the USA. On the 2nd floor, I'm getting about a 5-12dB difference when connecting to the 2nd floor router vs the 1st floor one. Even on the first floor, I often don't get signal in my...

Recommendation for wireless router option and placement

Hi guys, I'm looking to recontract with my ISP, and they're offering the following router options for a discounted price. I can choose among the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX6000, Asus RT-AX88U and the TP-Link Archer AX11000 for the same price. I stay in a 2-storey apartment, and am currently I'm...

Replacing an ASUS N56U with a D-Link DIR-868L in my home network - will it work?

TBH, I've never had to reboot either of my routers, and they're on 24/7. I'm generally happy with their performance.

Replacing an ASUS N56U with a D-Link DIR-868L in my home network - will it work?

Oops, I got the TP-Link router model wrong, it's actually the TL-WR1043ND v2, which is even older. I bought it about 1.5 years ago based on this review. I'm not looking to buy any more equipment, and I'm not using anything critical that requires a super high speed/low ping, so I just needed to...

Replacing an ASUS N56U with a D-Link DIR-868L in my home network - will it work?

Why would it be holding me back? It has GbE support, and from reviews I've read, the throughput is pretty close to 1Gbps. I use it mostly to route the connection downstream to the ASUS (which will be replaced by the D-Link) and another room with a wireless AP, and also to cover a Wi-Fi deadspot...

Replacing an ASUS N56U with a D-Link DIR-868L in my home network - will it work?

Hi, The existing setup already works. I get 1Gbps speed on my 2 PCs since they're on GbE. Obviously I don't get 1Gbps on Wi-Fi but that's ok. I just want to know if replacing the ASUS with the dlink will work network connectivity wise.

Replacing an ASUS N56U with a D-Link DIR-868L in my home network - will it work?

Hi, I'm thinking of switching fiber ISPs due to a promotion. Both offer 1Gbps connections, but there are pricing and router differences. My home network is currently as follows: If I switch to the new ISP, I will have to return the ASUS, but I will get the D-Link. Will the D-Link work in the...
