    It is not the factory reset that scares me in this case, it is reconfiguring everything twice... I am regretting to not have saved the configuration before the upgrade and I strongly suggest everyone attempting the upgrade to do so.

    SMB access with Wireguard

    Is it possible to configure a SMB share on the router to be accessible from the outside when using a VPN with Wireguard? Using Instant Guard I can access it, but using Wireguard with my configuration I am not able to reach it (other shares of devices on the LAN are accessible).

    I have installed the latest official firmware, reset all the configurations, and I can confirm that this issue is present also on it. I will try to send a feedback with this bug report to ASUS.

    I just finished binge watching the 6th season of Better call Saul with an LG OLED (B6) forced on 5GHz with a RT-AX86U without any issue. The router and TV are anyway very near in my case.

    Model: RT-AX86U No AiMesh in place. In AiMesh page go to "Management", switch off "LED", wait for it to disable all the LEDs on the device and then switch it on again. I have my PC connected to LAN port 1, but the corresponding LED will not be re-enabled after I set LED switch to on again...

    Hello, here in Italy we have an ISP that is starting to use MAP-T for the WAN connection. It is currently supported by OpenWRT. Are you aware of any plans to support this protocol? Does this need support by the ASUS FW for being available with Merlin? Thank you.

    Please read what I posted: I already have the correct values, in my case it seems that selecting a different DNS (1.1.1.1) from the one provided by the ISP breaks the WAN detection algorithm.

    FTP on LAN, SFTP on WAN

    Is it possible to configure the router so that on LAN it accepts both FTP and SFTP, while on WAN only SFTP is available? If I check "Enable TLS support" SFTP gets enabled, but FTP is disabled (which actually does not correspond to the button name).

    I apologize if the question has already been asked, but I would like to know if it possible and how to implement logging of connection and disconnection events for wireless clients (bot for normal and guest networks). Thank you for your help.
