    ..

My ISP supports it but 1.5 month ago something broke on their side - all my configs got corrupted. They restored ipv4 but failed to fix ipv6 since. No matter how hard I attempted to help them debug the issue... It appears that GPON is not giving me any ipv6 address. Some kind of conflict or...

    Powering TUF4200 with a powerbank

Hey guys. This is perhaps a somewhat unusual question, but I would like to have your opinion. Can I power ASUS TUF 4200 on stock firmware (latest update) using orange port of the Baseus Amblight Powerbank (see attached picture) and chinese USB to DC 12volts PD/QC trigger? How much of these 2.5...

ASUS TUF 4200 Merlin firmware possible?

Hey guys. As far as I understand, merlin firmware is possible on some devices but not others due to lack of source code on some of them. Is that correct? If yes, now that we have source code for ASUS TUF 4200, would you think it is possible for us to see a Merlin on it...

Beware, ASUS TUF-4200 Broken firmware 3.0.0.4.388_33144 is back!

It seems they've replaced broken 3.0.0.4.388_33144 with 3.0.0.4.388_33147. Not sure what is different, but I really hope they've resolved mentioned issues... Unfortunately, for now I can not invest time to try it, reset to factory, verify and restore everything back to where it was in case of...

Beware, ASUS TUF-4200 Broken firmware 3.0.0.4.388_33144 is back!

Perhaps this is somehow related to the new feature they've added, called "Xtra Range 2.0 support". I did tried to disable it, but it had no effect on my devices. I have a WDS setup with ASUS and TP-Link routers that simply doesn't have Internet access with this update. No errors or strange log...

Beware, ASUS TUF-4200 Broken firmware 3.0.0.4.388_33144 is back!

Hello guys. Some of you probably heard about broken firmware "3.0.0.4.388_33144" that ASUS rolled out and pulled back some time after? Just wanted to let you know that recently this update re-appeared and I already managed to test it on my TUF-4200 router after it asked for an update. As you...

ASUS TUF-4200 Unstable connection compared to old TP-Link

Hey guys. So I narrowed down the issue a bit. Today I did switched to 20MHz, but since I don't believe this is an issue since TP-Link is stable at 40MHz I also decided to switch an adapter. So temporarily instead of Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 I've used TP-Link T2U Nano adapter. And guess...

ASUS TUF-4200 Unstable connection compared to old TP-Link

I do have it set to usb 3.0, but it did not have anything in it at the time of my attempts to make it work. I will let it sit at 2.0 anyway. I'll be very surprised if this is the culprit though.

ASUS TUF-4200 Unstable connection compared to old TP-Link

I had it on AUTO before, which resulted in 20MHz selected. It was pretty much the same, but this was prior to me disabling Roaming Assistant. So I will try again tomorrow during work, to test in real-world scenario. Still, even if it works good and stable, I would like to have it on 40MHz same...

ASUS TUF-4200 Unstable connection compared to old TP-Link

Hello guys. I have an issue with unstable connection to ASUS TUF-4200 over 2.4 GHz network. For the time being I do not care about 5GHz one. To put it simply, where TP-Link TL-WR850N keeps stable connection most of the time, connection to ASUS TUF-4200 keeps dropping a couple of timers per...
