I own a nearly 4000 sqft home with three floors. In 2016 installed an Orbi RBK50 system. One satellite, one router. Router in basement, satellite on Main; covers upstairs with no loss of signal.
Last year, 1st son ,lives a mile east of us,, installed same in a similar size home. 2nd son moved...
Asus RT 5300 AC Router w/Merlin and Express VPN installed,
PSVue will not accept the network connection due to being “location based” Connected to the Chicago server as that is closest. Contacted ExpressVPN with no success.
Am willing to invest in another device as my wireless speed is also...
Have had the Original Orbi AC 3000 system for over 2 years. Home is a large 4K + sq ft home with Router and Orbi in basement. Another on First Floor. Covers all three floors very well.
I cut Comcast (use their Internet) several months ago with PSVue as my main provider.
All works great and I...
Installed and working. Without VPN, around 300 MBpS, VPN enabled, around 60MBpS.
Express VPN states that this is what I will get (tried numerous servers). Have thought about a Server with Untangle and VPN Tunnel, but not sure that it would greatly increase speed.

Am contemplating buying the Zotac above as am presently using an Asus router with Orbi 2 pack configured as an AP. Could tje Zotac be configured as the router and then the Orbi again configured AP?
Thank You!
I have had for 4 months and use in AP mode with ASUS RS AC 5300.
House is three floor 4K + and we have great coverage with no issues.
(Comcast 150).
I really like (1) SSID and network stays up and running very consistently.
The 5300 was good, Orbi is better. Better coverage.
Purchased Orbi Router and Satellite; up and running, excellent coverage and I like one SSID. Posted to sell

I have had 5300 for several months after a 68U for several years and it is bug free and has much better coverage in my large home. I do not need a Repeater as I did with the 68U, I surely assumed I would. I am extremely satisfied.
My network is all wi-fi. "Take the antennas off the 5300 and put them on the AC68U and you will see better coverage", just out of curiousity, how practical is that? I cannot just "add" 4 more antennas to the existing antennas on the Ac68U! I would also venture that better CPU and design have...
