The Verizon Fios thing isn't hard... the gotcha is having to release the DHCP on their router, then unplug their WAN connection from their router after its released... then plug it into your asus router and voila... (only gets slightly trickier if you have MOCA involved) .... AT&T is a different...
Grr im having some ugliness with my DSL and not sure if its the router or the connection which only coincidently started around the time of the last beta update...
And the modem isnt being helpful ..... partially because its in bridge mode...

Gotten a few not mesh client cannot update its ip from an apple watch that has had Privacy Mode turned off in the past... (Privacy Mode... Apple devices are trying to play the pseudorandom MAC address game)....

Havent tried forcing Ethernet first, but eventually it seemed to figure out that the first hop of my wifi network is on an ethernet backbone.
Tempted to upload the current logs, and then reboot

having some issues with apple devices not wanting to connect or stay connected to the 86 node using the normal SSID address,, but will connect using the guest network....esp 5ghz for some reason (while other devices including intel NIC and amazon dont have an issue)

Having problems losing the connection ... Am *not* using SC (Smart Connect. .. Cant actually because only one device supports it) ... rebooting the main and two nodes seems to fix the devices saying theres no internet.....(even though its connected to the router)
Think i will try disabling...
Installed it last night, rebooted the routers, and let it go until this AM, everything seems to be coming back up and working mostly as expected... Sent a post update log from the overnight... Still taking it for a spin..... having devices try to switch on/off the guest network when using the...
My experiences with this second revision.... Main router (AC 68) works fine.. wifi is great...can connect . reset both the wired and wireless ai mesh nodes.... See wireless but cannot login to it (on either the wired or wireless node) ... only wireless that works is around the main router...

Im taking a guess but i think some of these extensions might help with places that need multiple APs due to metal lathe in the walls... its a fine line setting the roaming with just the slightest overlap using roaming assistant...
To quote a buddy on another forum... The exits are clearly marked... Also its a logic fallacy to expect something to be 100% flawless... Seriously open up some support tickets, send Asus some feedback... I have yet to find a device that does everything flawlessly without spending a fortune on it...

Actually ended up picking up an Asus RTAC86 and are using the other AC68 as a wired AImesh.. was using it as an AP but figured id give it a go.... Though as others said.. think ill hold out on the AX devices for at least another year.... Swapping it out for the main AC68 was a noticable...
