    RT-AX86U import settings from RT-AC86U

Came here with the same questions, and now wondering why isn't that possible? I see that when exporting settings it just export the nvram content in a binary dump; making it useless across different hardware. You would think Asus would provide more support going from one model to another, or...

    Massive upload usage: let's encrypt

The traffic analyser already showed me which machine was uploading like crazy ; but couldn't see anything obvious there. wondering why the asus would think it's lets encrypt nonetheless.

    Massive upload usage: let's encrypt

Hi. I noticed a massive amount of upload from my server; over 10GB per day, more so than my download. Going into the Traffic Analyser, it shows that the data comes from one machine, and the trafficis tagged as "Lets Encrypt" Which IP address is the traffic analyser using to determine that...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 (and 384.13_6) are now available

834.16 beta real-time traffic analyzer wasn't working, came here to report this. Did this get fixed between beta 3 and release? Edit: flash 834.16, it works again.

Update my RT-AC86U to 384.15 and now daily hang

I upgrade to the 348.16 beta3 with the USB devices connected and that upgrade worked well. So I expected that downgrading would work the same. Haven't had a hang since, touching wood for now

Update my RT-AC86U to 384.15 and now daily hang

I flashed 384.14.2 but the version still shows as 384.15, is this to be expected? or can't you downgrade firmware?

Update my RT-AC86U to 384.15 and now daily hang

Hi. I updated my RT-AC86U last week to 384.15. And since I get random UI lockup, or the DNS server stop responding. Sometimes I can ping the router but that's about it. No UI, no internet. SSH will respond on the port, but can't login etc. May have to downgrade. Anyone else experienced that issue?

    Eaton UPS client

Hi. I ended up not compiling myself and using the package system. I had hoped to avoid that so that I didn't need a USB drive connected to the asus.

Help setting up NUT (Network UPS Tools) on a Merlin router

How did you compile nut for your merlin router, arm or broadcom?

    Eaton UPS client

Hi. Has anyone compiled NUT for the asus routers? To be used with a Eaton 5E UPS. I just got a UPS to put in my network cabinet (protecting fibre NTD, switch, ATA, asus etc) and would like to be able to monitor the battery/load easily. Found links on how to compile it myself, but I'd prefer...

Which kernel config file to use for RT-AC86U

thanks.. I had figured it out in the end... actually hasn't changed much from my 10 y.o notes... turned out pppoe kernel was properly built, just the pppd modules installed in the wrong spot.

Which kernel config file to use for RT-AC86U

Hi. Attempting to compile pppoe-server and make it work. (fwiw, I'm the one who added pptp server support to tomato almost a decade ago, and now I need pppoe support) There are two blockers for me: 1- the user-space pppoe isn't being compiled 2- kernel-mode pppoe isn't built either...

Compilation error for asuswrt-merlin.ng with rt-ac86u

That's what I figured and I didn't do make clean, and also changed sh to link to bash. this didn't help. Looks like something wasn't checked-in in the tree to me... Edit: It's building fine after the today's pull

Compilation error for asuswrt-merlin.ng with rt-ac86u

yes this is the guide I've been following. Anyhow, it's just master/HEAD that fails to compile. tag 382.2* builds fine... I haven't looked in details on what's needed to fix it...

Compilation error for asuswrt-merlin.ng with rt-ac86u

Hi I'm trying to compile merlin.ng from source (so I can enable some extra services) I've followed the instructions (which allowed me to build for a rt-ac68u no problem) However, it breaks very early on with: make[4]: Entering directory...
