    AC68 - Hardest Crash Ever

Eyeballing the AX86U now....(Dont tell my venerable AC68!)

    Load Balancing & Parental Controls

Maybe not the correct way, (I am a complete layman) but I put all my kids on a separate network/SSID and isolated from my main network/intranet Like bobslan24k(ids) and bobslan50k "k" for kids. 24 for the 2.4G wifi radio 50 for the 5.0G wifi radio Unfortunately you can't share common drives...

    AC68 - Hardest Crash Ever

Thanks gents, Maybe Ive maxed out this router, if the capacity for updates is diminishing... It has been a GREAT unit, getting my family of 5 through the pandemic and way before, TW, Teleschool, MANY devices connected, streaming everywhere, 5 separated/segregated SSIDs, parental controls, QOS...

    AC68 - Hardest Crash Ever

Been running Merlin for a long while. I dont always update to each and every Merlin version, but maybe twice a year. Recently updated from 386_7_2 to 386_9. Dirty update without a router clear and reset and seemed to run fine for a few days. One morning in the middle of talking with Alexa...

AC86U 384.18, every other day or few days internet stops working while the GUI shows it as connected

Tried 384.18 and has the same WiFi stability and drop issues. Went back to 384.17 and is MUCH more stable. Needed stability as the kids are remote school and I am teleworking. Kids sequestered on a guest network. BIG wifi demands here. Appears you guys are experiencing the same or similar...

    NVRAM [Release] NVRAM Save/Restore Utility

Thanks Xentrk and Torson, the willingness to help it what its all about. Helping someone even less saavy then me (and that isnt saying much!), for next time. I also used the original nvram-save a few times before Xentrk's latest fork. Must have never noticed the jffs not being restored in the...

    NVRAM [Release] NVRAM Save/Restore Utility

Thanks Torson I appreciate your replies, but I think we are talking apples and oranges. My problem is 'not' with Diversion, but with how and if nvram restore, actually restores jffs when after a factory reset jffs is disabled. Appears like I have to first re-enable jffs on the router again...

    NVRAM [Release] NVRAM Save/Restore Utility

Are you saying that the nvram restore utility along the way asked if I wanted to restore my jffs partition? If so, then maybe I missed that. Thanks

    NVRAM [Release] NVRAM Save/Restore Utility

Not the storage devices (USB), but the router's internal jffs partition and contents, which I thought was part of the backup utility's capability....

    NVRAM [Release] NVRAM Save/Restore Utility

Thanks guys for all your coding and script work. I can fumble my way around as an advanced laymen user, but had some slight observations as I restored NVRAM settings today after a factory reset. After the reset and restore, my Diversion installation did not work anymore, and would not launch...

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Well, I just read the above, learning that the utility may not be applicable to 384.xx. That said, here is some feedback that I noticed today during a nvram restore from a 384.8 to a 384.12 on my AC68. The Bandwidth Limiter settings from the Guest Network do not appear to be handled by the...

    AiMesh catchup questions

Been fairly happy on my AC68 centric network, with an AC66 as an extender for my kids' guest SSID, and range extender for my media devices' guest SSID'. Just reading about AiMesh and have a few basic questions: - I assume Merlins F/W retains the AiMesh capability from the factory F/W - yes? -...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Can't put my finger on it yet, but something squirelly is going on with 2.4G on my AC68. Running Merlin 380.68_4. Not sure if its dropping out, losing connection, affected by too many clients for the current build or what.... Seems to be only since 380.68ish... I may revert back and see if I...

    Time Scheduling Issues? 380_68+?

Thanks CT. Yeah - I'll continue to look/characterize. We're still on Daylight Savings Time, so that might be something to dig into, whether one hour out or not. Will dig into the repeater set up also, whether if connected to the main router of through the repeater is a characterizable...

    Time Scheduling Issues? 380_68+?

Here is an attachment - I have replaced the Mac addresses with the TYPESOFDEVICES. Also attached is a notional schedule similar for all the devices...(I understand the Cellphones schedules are likely useless as they connect to the cell network instead) All are connected wirelessly. I'm a...
