    You might be having a overheat problem. I would try to put a 120mm or 80mm fan on it and see if that helps. Does anyone have the tear down picture of the hardware? Is there is built in fan in the router? Is SMB going to do a review for GT-AC5300? It seems like ASUS is not promoting this...

    You are not reading it correctly - my friend. First TEST was WRITE TEST = 28MB/s Second TEST was READ TEST = 45MB/s

    Disabled USB 3.0 Interference reduction, but No effect! Still same crappy speed 12MB/s. Now i am really leaning towards LinkSys WRT3200 or Back to RT-AC5300.

    USB 3.0 TESTING: GT-AC5300 USB 3.0 WRITE SPEED over WIFI - (Sucks) as compare to RT-AC5300 - Asus claimed GT would exceed 150MB/s USB 3.0 read / write speeds with this new platform. RT-AC5300 Write Speed to USB 3.0 7200RPM HDD = 25MB/s GT-AC5300 Write Speed to USB 3.0 7200RPM HDD = 12MB/s

    Now that I have upgraded the Firmware and Cat-5E Cable. Things are looking stable, no problem so far and it has been 24 hrs. It seems like stable as RT-AC5300, and Wireless Range is same. My reason to upgrade from RT - > GT is to utilize Quad Core + 1GB RAM for NAS + 150Mbps File Transfer...
