News FragAttacks - implications in reality?

Hi, Love your firmware have been using it for years with various ASUS routers, and have donated to you a few times. Are you planning to update Merlin to block the FragAttacks problems I have been reading about? How serious do you think this problem will be to fix? Just curious at this point...

Help, I was tempted by AIMesh and uploaded asuswrt now I'm screwed

Well the recovery tool is not listed under the RT-AC68U support firmware and tools, but something called the discovery tool was. I installed it and it discovered the addresses of my two routers just where I expected them to be. So I went in through the discovery tool to access the one I'm having...

Help, I was tempted by AIMesh and uploaded asuswrt now I'm screwed

Yes I did that each time I got back into the routers.

Help, I was tempted by AIMesh and uploaded asuswrt now I'm screwed

I have two AC1900 (basically RT -AC68U) routers one of which I had set up as an access point, which is connected by Ethernet to the other router, with the same SSIDs and Passwords as the one I use as a router to make kind of a mesh setup in my home. I got the email from Asus that AIMesh was...

    RT-AC88U bricked after firmware update?

But, isn't what he needs at this point is to put the router in recovery mode, since he already tried using the WPS button method to no avail?

    RT-AC88U bricked after firmware update?

I suggested it, because it WORKS! Doing the 30/30/30 with a long rest has saved a bricked ASUS router for me on a number of occasions. Just because I'm new on this forum doesn't mean I'm new to troubleshooting ASUS routers. LPL give it a try, what do you have to lose - a little time is all.

    Asus RT-AC66U rebooting

If you've already tried the latest merlin without joy, you might be looking at a bad router. Hopefully, you purchased through Amazon they have a pretty generous return policy. I've owned a number of ASUS routers over the years, and never had the rebooting router problem. It's often associated...

    RT-AC88U bricked after firmware update?

I find that ASUS routers tend to need a significant amount of time following a firmware upgrade sometimes - like a few hours. It really messes with one's ability to be patient when experiencing an outage. Also the 30/30/30 reset method that dd-wrt recommends for their firmware seems to work...

    RT68U firmwire

Merlin is more stable for ASUS routers in my opinion. I've owned a number on ASUS routers over the last few years and run merlin on all of them and have experienced very little down time, and it's never been the fault of the router's firmware. If you look at the reviews on the main site you...

State of the project (August 2016)

Like most everyone here I'm really grateful to you for the asuswrt-merlin firmware you have provided, and sounds like you will continue to provide, even if on a more limited basis. Merlin is the reason I love the ASUS wireless routers I have owned over the years. Please keep us updated on which...

    Trouble with https access

When I do that it displays https crossed out in red. Doesn't that mean I'm not connecting using https?

    Trouble with https access

Hello, I have an ASUS RT-N66U and an RT-AC66U and using merlin 380.57. I'd like to strictly use https to get into them, but I've been having trouble. As a halfway measure I used the "Both" setting for the Authentication Method. Just to make sure I could get in using https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443...
