I paid about the same price for AC86U in 2018 as it is now on Amazon. Oh the other hand maybe 1 router would be enough for 2.5k sqft. It's just I installed few Ring cameras for my buddy and he complained that his routers wifi is not reaching 1 of them

I currently have RT-AC86U but planning to move soon to a bigger home roughly 2500sqft with few TVs on 1st and 2nd floors plus bunch of outside WIFI cameras etc. I was planning to do Asus Mesh. Any recommendations for 2nd Asus router?

Another quick question.....I am obviously not a network guy etc, so I don't know how this all works. When I am connected to my own router that's running Diversion and I am behind Google VPN, ads don't get blocked. Is there a setting that I can change to fix this ?

I did try to flush DNS in mobile browser, as well as clear all cache etc. Nothing fixes this

Whenever my phone connects to VPN, mine or the recently released Project Fi, I keep getting an error in Chrome mobile. "Your connection was interrupted" "network change has been detected" after this error msg website loads fine. What is this and how do I fix it? Thanks

When I had some issues with it blocking some sites, I traced it with logging. You can see real-time what it blocks

Yes. The issue was some old files. Reformatted to ext4 and did fresh install, now everything works. Thanks PS. Used MiniTool for Windows

I start with "Diversion", if I don't reboot it starts right away, if I reboot I have to go through some installation, I think reserving ip address etc. I might have older code there. I tried to format but maybe I did it wrong. How do I format ubs drive in router terminal to ext3 or 4 ?

Is this normal to go through the setup/install everytime router rebooted? I didn't seem to have to issue on AC66 and that's what it does now on AC86
