    Release RT-AX92U - New Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.386_45934

Urgh, same problem as 386_45898. 5Ghz Guest Network doesn't work on AX92U aimesh nodes with this firmware, devices just get kicked off and connected to the main router (in my case an AX88U). Had to revert right back to 386_43084 to get it working again. I did send feedback to Asus about this but...

    Release Asus RT-AX92U - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

I've also submitted a report in relation to guest networks for 45898 on the RT-AX92U via the feedback form. I tried upgrading again, this time factory reset the mesh node, re-added it in and re-configured the guest networks, but still have the same problem. I've discovered though that it's only...

    Release Asus RT-AX92U - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

It could be although what I'm seeing is seems slightly different. In that thread clients are connecting to the mesh node but are unable to receive an IP via DHCP. In my case devices try to connect to the mesh node but are automatically dropped and connect to the main router instead. When I view...

    Release Asus RT-AX92U - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

The 5G guest network (in isolated mode) on the aimesh node doesn't work with this firmware with my setup. I had the same problem with 44695. Reverting back to 43084 fixes the issue. My main router is a AX88U, it's running the latest firmware (45898) without any issues, the problem is only when...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I had a similar issue with an AX88U as the main router and AC68U as the AiMesh 2.0 node using wireless backhaul; when the guest network was enabled on the node with intranet isolation I saw lots of packet loss on the main (non guest network), including when devices were connected directly to the...

    ASUS RT-AX88U Firmware v3.0.0.4.386_41249

I have guest networks working fine on remote mesh nodes, including having intranet isolation enabled. I think 3.0.0.4.386_25790 may be too early to have AiMesh 2.0 enabled on it, the earliest version in the AiMesh 2.0 public beta thread was 3.0.0.4.386_39179, so unless they have released a...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

@Ninko are you looking at signal strengths? @GarrHaal never said that the signal strength was better, they just that they could connect from their garage with the new router, so may not be the same issue with the 2.4Ghz channel.

Problems using an AC68U as a repeater of a guest wireless network from an AX88U

Thanks for the extra info, I think it's the 'access intranet' disabled setting that causes the problem. I'm not sure how this is implemented in the router but it doesn't seem to like devices which are connected in via a repeater. I may just have to bite the bullet and not bother with the guest...

Problems using an AC68U as a repeater of a guest wireless network from an AX88U

It's interesting that you have managed to get this working. As L&LD suggests, I'd started to think that what I was trying just wasn't possible due to how ASUS have implemented guest networks on the router (I know at least that it doesn't appear to be using a separate VLAN tag). I did configure...

Problems using an AC68U as a repeater of a guest wireless network from an AX88U

I'm trying to use an AC68U as a repeater. However I want to repeat the guest network from the main router (AX88U) rather than the main wireless network. However I can't seem to get it to work. Setting up the AC68U as a repeater works fine, I can configure it to connect to one of the Guest...

    Wi-Fi Signal Strength RT-AC86U v RT-AX88U

I recently upgraded my main AC68U with an AX88U and noticed a drop in 2.4Ghz signal strength with the new router. I've read through this thread which has been really helpful in at least confirming I'm not the only one seeing this. However, even though the signal strength is lower, I've done...
